The best barber shop in medina by far! The staff becomes like family. I've been a customer for 25 years!

Repeat business is the best form of a compliment, the shops in LA are fancier but this is the hometown feel!

The kid has a great head of hair and he's starting to notice his apperance and girls, so I figured it was time to let someone who knows how to cut mens' hair get after him. And that's what I did. I asked the barber for a fade and showed him a picture of one from the web. When he was all done, my son's fade looked great. He was happy with his do and so were we. I'm sure we'll be back for another fade in about a month. I enjoyed watching the Guardians playoff game while getting his hair cut.

The reason for the 1-star is the fact that, on a Saturday, the busiest day of the week for barbershops , they allow appointments. I arrived right around 8am and signed in fully expecting to wait. However, at 10:10 when it should have been my turn I was informed there was a 10am appointment with no prior heads up or communication that there might be an appointment coming up. I sat there for 2 hours just to be informed I now had to wait even longer. 2 years of loyalty to the same shop and barber, down the drain. This is absolutely absurd and a terrible policy for a Saturday morning. The fact that you have someone waiting for over 2 hours, just to be told, sorry not sorry you have to keep waiting is ridiculous. I will never go back to this barbershop again! And if you value your time, which we all should, be very careful going to this barbershop on a Saturday morning.

It's right off of Lake Road at the entrance to Chippewa-on-the Lake Village and has plenty of parking available. Upon entering you are greeted by barber chairs nestled in an all wood decor which gives the impression of a log cabin. When I was there there were two barbers; one was busy with a man with a mullet, and another. I was welcomed, shown a chair, and asked what I was looking for? I asked for a cut and a shave. (I like my haircut a specific way, so gave him instructions.) I prefer my hair be cut traditionally; with a comb and scissors, and then a finished with a trimmer. What i got for $40 was a 100% trim haircut! Sure, it was quick, and it looks great, but after it's cut it doesn't quite lay right, and when it grows out it looks like crap. Sort of like putting a bowl on your head and cutting everything below it, it's the monk look. Then came the standard $40 shave. I did appreciate the multilevel lather and hot towel ritual which came with a traditional shave, however, as with the haircut, it wasn't quite what I expected. Instead of using a traditional straight edge razor, I got something different; not that that's bad mind you but, as he was working my face I could tell he was using a different type of blade. The feel, the sound were not quite right, so I asked, "what are you using?" He told me a disposable blade. I am not a shave expert by any means, but based on the ones i have had, i would have been better off shaving at home. The barber missed at least four areas that I had to finished with my Gillette. * And, for those who have never had a traditional straight edge razor cut, there is nothing like it in the world. Your face is in shock, the hairs don't grow, and you have a baby smooth face for 3 days! Normally, I would pay about $40 for both, so I won't be going back to this barbershop again. Cost and lack of attention to detail have cost them my future business.
