THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!…read more Our son was fortunate to be able to retain the services of Matt Kowtko from the Kowtko Law Group. Matt helped us during the most difficult year of our lives. Our son was wrongfully accused and was charged with serious capital crimes. These offenses were to be punishable by life imprisonment with no parole and possibly the death penalty. Needless to say, we were horrified. From the moment we met with Matt and his team, we immediately knew they would do their best to defend our son. Matt is truly exceptional, and his legal expertise is top notch. He was always available to listen to ALL our concerns and provided the best possible explanation of the legal system. His aggressive defense strategies as well as his detail to all the research were absolutely astounding. When we started feeling unsure, Matt was able to reassure us that we were in good hands. He will not sugar coat anything; he gives it to you straight. We were also very fortunate that Matt partnered with Attorney Allan Baily who is thorough and very knowledgeable. When you hire Matt, you get it all - he will NOT quit on you. He will put everything he can into defending you and we are forever GRATEFUL. Ultimately, our son was acquitted on all counts!! We recommend Matt Kowtko without reservation to take on any legal matter; he is the best.

My very first appointment with him at his office was a fiasco. They moved their office and never bothered to tell me or leave a sign on the old door with directions on where to go. When I sent him a video proving that my ex was hiding our marital belongings at a neighbors house, he did absolutely nothing to stop him. My ex sold all of our furniture off and donated many of my things to Goodwill. After being emotionally abused by my ex for 38 years, to have my own lawyer gaslight me was pretty disgusting. Do not recommend.

Really I'm retired, not working, it should be easy; the girl agreed 20 minutes. I called every week, I was told they were done on Mar 12th but waiting for review. I am retired not working, what is to review? What level of accountant did my taxes? I kept calling, was told Dawn was out of town, no taxes to be processed until she returned. APRIL; tax time! Called and was told they were waiting on something, what could that be? Calling April 9th, was told Dawn had 100 customers to review and would do them over the weekend. April 14th called to see if done, just an answering machine now. Left message, that tomorrow was April 15th; I would be in to pick up my documents, please have them ready. Apr 15th 9:00am West Coast Accounting, 4 other very unhappy customers. I instructed the receptionist to please get my taxes, again was told they are in review. I requested a copy of the extension they filed without my consent, and my documents and upon opening the envelope found them untouched! The truth, they never attempted to process. This new owner Dawn is not reliable, the girls lie, no level of courtesy. The receptionist did not apologize or seem to care at all. Fail no star.

We have used West Coast since 2011. This year when we went to bring in taxes we found out our…read moreaccountant had retired. I thought it was still same people just our was gone but turns out nope! I left my tax stuff it took longer than it ever has with very bad communication. They kept telling me it was under review. Then a guy called to ask what one my 1099 was from(which he couldn't grasp either that wasn't from my current job but a different company that I am a brand partner) and once I cleared that up he said they were done and just had to be copied and someone from front would call the next day or 2. NOPE! A week goes by I call again and they tell me it under review by a senior accountant! So what whoever did my taxes wasn't competent! 2 1/2 weeks later they called said come get them and the charge was the same as what I had been paying even though I didn't take them anything for expenses like I normally do. Come to find out none of the previous accountants are still there it was bought out by some other company! We will not go back! Worst tax experience I have ever had!

We knew nothing going into this process except that we would need to implicitly trust whoever we were working with 100% and just hope for the best. Sean and Loretta put the work in, helped us to understand each step and decision along the way, and pulled us throughout without missteps or regrets. No one wants to have to get a lawyer, but honestly having now dealt with more than I've ever expected to have to, no one was more professional or thoughtful or careful than Sean and Loretta. They were our rock, our team, and our lighthouse no matter what we'd have to weather and I'm so grateful for their support and expertise. I learned a lot about closing an estate (real estate and taxes and probate and titles!), but they never made me feel as though I should've known any of this beforehand (because why would I?). Their patience and understanding and empathy was truly above and beyond. If they'll take your care, put them on retainer immediately without hesitation. Best of luck (although you don't need as much when you're with the pros).

I was treated rudely. My mother's revised will was drafted perfunctorily. (Language in it was in the male gender. Had anyone proofread it?) The will had been redrafted from an earlier version according to my mother's instructions, but was unsigned and the firm had not followed up with her to make sure she signed it. As the co-executor named in the will they drafted I called to see if the firm had a signed copy on file and was blown off. Then my mother died and her old will, the un-revised one, became the legal will. The bottom line: her grandkids got cut out of their inheritance. And the firm hit the estate with a bill for revising the old will, the one they didn't follow up on that led to an estate mess.
