He was there 26 days, and we couldn't have been more impressed and grateful for his care. The facility itself was clean and well ordered. His room was semiprivate, and we really appreciated having an actual wall between the bedrooms instead of just a curtain. There is a shared living room and a large bathroom in the suite as well. The three meals a day were impressive with a variety of entrees and sides, and seemed well balanced. The nurses and nutritional services staff worked hard to meet my father's special food requests. The physical therapy was exceptional, and my father formed a real bond with Jonathon, his PT. As you can imagine, at 101, my father was "feisty but fragile" - and Jonathon knew EXACTLY how to illicit the perfect balance of safety and exertion to get the maximum benefit for my father's rehab efforts! Jonathon was exactly what my father needed - and we are so grateful for him! Christian was my father's Occupational Therapist, and he always went above and beyond - because he didn't just have interesting and important life skill lessons to teach my father, he was so patient with him, even though my father was understandably grumpy or at least resistant to the training at times. I watched Christian "teach" my father on two occasions- and as a retired teacher myself, I was definitely impressed with Christian's skillful teaching techniques! Misty and Brittney were the nurses who worked with my father most often. He fell in love with both of them because they truly, truly cared about both his physical and emotional needs. I thought he was going to try to adopt Misty - and I was in full support of that idea! Finally, I would like to let you know about Susan, my father's "Advocate" at Sunny Ridge. When she introduced herself to my father and our family, I wondered why you would need such a position in a care facility. That question was quickly answered! There are so many "working parts" that go into a successful rehabilitation process - of which we were previously not aware - that we REALLY needed Susan to help us navigate these unknown waters! She was a caring, incredibly diligent and professional guide! She worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure EVERYTHING just WORKED! She coordinated my father's care during his stay and even helped arrange care for him after his return home! Thank you, Susan! You are a true asset to Sunny Ridge!! It's truly the people who work at Sunny Ridge who make this a wonderful place to live, however long or short your loved one's stay may be. How blessed we are that my father was able to be here, in their care, for his rehabilitation!

Multiple employees, who have devoted their life to caring for, and making the lives of the residents better, have been recently written up and fired due to made up and unsubstantiated allegations, and all of this is because of the new executive director Jill Morris Chapman. She has been caught sneaking around, and listening in on private conversations between employees, as well as the employees and residents conversations. When employees complained to PAC's HR department, it was brought to attention that Jill Morris Chapman's friend worked in HR, and was reporting back to her what was being said about her.. this is both illegal and unethical. I would never put a family member in this facility, and I would never, ever, recommend this place for employment!

Cameras are not allowed. Nursing staff are more concerned about raising the level of care so that they can charge a higher rate. Their idea of getting a resident ready to go out is to yank them from the recliner place them on the toilet and treat them like a child yanking up their underpants. Staff to resident ratio is way too high 4 to 80, helping with a shower means sitting in a recliner on their phone while the resident showers. Some staff went in and assisted but that was not a common thing. The place is nicely appointed and the rooms are big but nightly 2-hour checks are not done. One resident only lasted one night and died behind the door. Staff pushes giving trays in the room so they can charge the family 10 bucks for each one even if it's a bowl of oatmeal. "Nurse" Mary insisted my parent needed memory care and be placed at level 4, her assessment consisted of a total of 3 minutes in his room. Then let's make signs for everything, don't get up alone, call for help, etc. Even though the call button is either by the bed or in the bathroom so if you have a chair across the room you have this excellent long trip cord hazard. And when they fall well ooops that is going to move you to a higher level of care and more $$$$. And that is the bottom line there, more money if the resident does not have an advocate it's even worse. The resident went from self-sustaining to bedbound due to the nurse's order and quickly died because she was inconvenient for the "nurse" Mary. The admin Amy tries but she is overruled by Nurse Mary. Don't be bamboozled by the decor, the activities "director" is an aide that was promoted and has no clue other than bingo. The cinema room is NEVER used, and no movies are announced in 8 months I never saw anyone in there. The activities area is essentially a room with a pool table no one uses - elderly people don't have the stability for playing pool - a complete waste of space and money. Let's talk about the pharmacy, Red rock rips off twelve bucks for cough drops, and if you get VA meds they will still charge you as if you filled the RX there, so double dipping,,, you bet. I know I will never untangle that fiasco. The billing for the care is done in QuickBooks from someone's house and they are a bizarre mess in itself. Not sure if they know what they are doing, the charging for the room trays is so haphazard and when calling the staff out on a lie, she denied it, I had proof - she swore on her kids she was telling the truth. Poor kids. The audio recording was all there and NOT what she said. All in all, stay away, Park place is no good either, nothing ADA there and no ac in patient rooms and bathtubs with sides... really yeah my 90-year-old parent needs to crawl over the side of a tub. Karcher Estates is ok BUT if you change care levels, you change rooms. That is fun to move your parent multiple times. Best of luck

The staff from the front desk to management and to caregivers and the nurses as well as kitchen staff were all excellent, and went up and above the call of duty. You could totally tell that each, and every employee was there, because they cared and loved what they did. They were not just there for a paycheck. The activities employee was as awesome as the rest. Unfortunately, we had to move him to Grace in Meridian for memory care. He has been there for about two weeks now and we have the same wonderful experience. I highly recommend Grace to anyone who needs assistance.

The elderly are just trying to live out the rest of their lives the best they can and sometimes with the ones they love. The folks at Grace assisted living don't really make that happen or care to make it happen. Management runs off good staff, good workers, loving caretakers, and replaces them with folks who are just there to get a paycheck. They don't care about your loved one. They care about how full their facility is. It's all about more money for them. How much they can get out of them. You can really tell a lot about people by the way they treat the elderly. If you're looking at Grace as a place for your family member, do not spend your money here. You will regret it in short order. Run, run as fast as you can in the other direction. The administration and management team consistently demonstrated unprofessional behavior, prioritizing personal interests over resident well-being. Nepotism was rampant, leading to favoritism and limited opportunities for growth among staff. Furthermore, I have serious concerns about the administration's handling of resident medication. It has come to my attention that medication has been misused for personal gain by his own assistent Dakota (daughter), which is not only unethical but also potentially harmful. As well as a none nurse (Carey) making medication decisions and handling of medication. The most concerning aspect, however, was the clear disregard for resident care. Basic needs were often unmet, and staff seemed undervalued and unsupported. As a employee of almost 4 years i made the difficult decision to remove myself from this establishment. Over these years there has been numerous state inspections as well as me bringing incidents to my supervisors. Nothing was done by either party and it is safe to assume state inspectors are not doing their job adequately and or being lied to by this establishment. I strongly advise against placing your loved ones in this facility until drastic improvements are made. Families deserve better, and so do the residents and staff.

During the interview she said I have a great feeling with you ( meaning me) and with your 37 years experience it would be great to have me join the team so she extended the offer to me and said she was going to send me on 10/22/24 to get my med tech certificate at CWI. I waited for a few weeks heard nothing. So I called waited a couple days still didn't hear back. So I ended up driving down to the company and when I arrived she was running around didn't even remember who I was. When I walked in I noticed Maddie a gal I had to terminate from a prior job we worked at for her doing wrongful and unresponsible things. When Piper arrived I said when did you hire Maddie she asked do I know her, I said yes I actually had to terminate her Piper. I said I hope you do background checks on your employees. One thing piper mentioned in our first interview was she cleaned house fires numerous people that worked for this company which was under a different name of 15+ years that they were not doing their job. So I told her when I saw Maddie that I couldn't believe after her doing that she turned around and hired her with her issues. So we then proceeded to go to the back office and she proceeded to tell me I had to reapply for the position and that I would receive an email with the onboarding email. 2 weeks went by nothing so I called at least 4 times heard nothing. Today I called asked who is Pipers supervisor they transferred me for a voicemail. I hung up called back Piper answered I said hi Piper it's Debbie and I'm calling as you hired me almost 2 months ago and you have never called me and I'm supposed to go do the class with Maddie as you stated tomorrow. She said I decided to go with someone else. I said oh really when were you going to call and actually let me know, she said I've been busy. I said Piper you don't sound very professional at your job. I proceeded to say I'm sure it's because I brought it to your attention I terminated Maddie. I said I'll make sure I write a letter to the office in Oregon and I also heard employees while on site drop the F word. I know if I was looking for a facility for a family member I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AUTUMN WIND. Piper should NOT BE A MANAGER AT THIS FACILITY. I was treated so unfairly. I will also file a complaint with the BBB. This isn't stopping here. I have 37 years experience. I got no explanation and this was personal from Piper harassment. This was discrimination towards me. I was hired and then position was taken from me how is that fair. All because of an employee where I was a supervising prior under those circumstances with another employee where we found her stealing money per the elderly man we cared for. The man we worked for he told me to terminate her employment immediately. Plus I was always having to cover her shift for being late or calling in. These are just facts. This situation was wrongful. I'm a Christian woman who was just trying to get a good job as a team player where I could grow within a company a do my job and that's it. But it became more than that thanks to Piper degrading me treating me like slime like she did with all those that worked there 15+ years and terminated them too and more than likely didn't deserve it either. Hopefully someone will step in evaluate Piper and the rest of the staff their language etc. and their attendance. And their hiring process so nobody else gets treated like I did.
