What is most impressive is that they took our pre-stained floors, that you could feel every grove and sand them down so there were no noticeable groves. We dealt with the owner and it's clear he is a true craftsman who loves what he does, and truly loves the beauty of a well finished floor. You could tell he not only wanted the best floors for his customers, but he wants it for himself as well. He was kind and polite, and very respectful of our home. Highly, highly recommend!!!

Josh was our salesperson, and was tireless, knowledgeable, and patient in working out different options and educating us about the pros and cons. We did some comparison shopping. BCO's good pricing, their responsiveness and promptness, and them doing their own work (not subcontracting) were compelling, so we went with them. After we ordered the work, BCO was able to put the job on schedule within days. The BCO installers accidentally installed the vinyl plank in the wrong area. This error also led to some other issues. When BCO realized this, it immediately acknowledged its error and responsibility, and worked to correct as soon as it could. The BCO installers were back the next day to start addressing the issues, and Eric and another employee even visited the job after their workdays, just to evaluate and determine solutions. Matt (general manager) got involved at the end to make sure that we were satisfied with the resolution. (We were!) However careful a company is, some type of error will happen sometime to that company - that's a fact of life. How the company - and the people at the company - respond sets the great ones apart. And Bloomington Carpet One, through its actions and the actions of its employees, clearly distinguishes itself as a great company!

The floors themselves look great. The installers were professional and did quality work. I'm giving…read moreone star because the owner, Chad, cost me a significant and entirely preventable 30% budget overrun -- and he did it after I gave him multiple chances to get it right. Here's what happened: Chad visited our home three times before we signed. On his second visit, I pointed out that the subfloors were in rough shape and asked directly whether I should repair them. He told me not to worry about it. The weekend before installation, I sent him a video of the floors and said I was thinking about going to Menard's to pick up 1/4" plywood to cover the entire main floor. He called me and told me not to do that -- said it would be a waste of time and money. Monday morning, his installers walked in, looked at the subfloor, and immediately said it was in awful shape. Their recommendation? Go to Menard's and get 1/4" plywood to cover the whole floor. Exactly what I had proposed. They charged $25 per sheet of plywood plus $40 per sheet to install it. When it came time to settle up, I wrote two checks -- one for the agreed amount plus half the overrun, and a second check for the other half, with a note to Chad that he should only cash it if he felt it was fair for me to absorb the full cost of a problem he had twice told me wasn't a problem. He cashed both. I don't know if Chad was inattentive, undertrained, or simply not honest with me. What I do know is that the owner of a flooring company should be able to assess a subfloor. I flagged the issue twice -- once in person, once on video -- and was turned away both times. If you're considering Third Coast, insist on a written subfloor assessment before you sign anything, and get any scope-of-work promises in writing.

Years ago, we seamed three different carpet remnants together to create an interesting abstract rug. We looked at a few of Carpet One's remnants, thanked our salesperson, Tracy Rokosz, and began to walk out. Tracy casually mentioned that she might have something that would fit our needs. She showed us a sample of beautiful large carpet remnant that was being stored downstairs. It was perfect, a great color, and the price was amazing! Now, we're using the remnant for two bedrooms. My wife was happy, and I was ecstatic. Without Tracey's guidance we might have spent quadruple online for a substandard rug. She is the best, and Hopkins Carpet One is a great flooring store.

We just completed three major…read moreflooring projects in our mid-century modern home, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. We had two guest bedrooms/offices coming out of a chaotic mix of linoleum, tile, and carpet tiles, a utility/laundry room with rough concrete, and a large family room on polished concrete. We went with LVP in a rosewood finish for the bedrooms, a Moroccan-pattern sheet vinyl for the laundry room, and plush carpet for the den. The end result looks incredible -- but what stood out just as much as the finished product was how the entire process was handled. From day one, Curt was responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. He walked us through the showroom, helped us think through each space, and came to the house to assess everything in person. His quote was thorough and transparent -- out the door pricing for all three rooms, no surprises. What we didn't fully anticipate was how much prep work our floors actually needed. Schneider's team handled self-leveling pours, subfloor resurfacing, and full prep on nearly every space to make sure everything was flush and seamless. They went well beyond scope -- installing new floor moldings, replacing old closet tracks that weren't compatible with the new flooring, and even coordinating a plumber to address a decrepit drain in the laundry room. Every detail was handled without us having to ask. Kyle did outstanding work on the LVP installation, and the rest of the crew handling the sheet vinyl and carpet were clearly masters of their craft. We were actually able to leave town and visit family while they worked, and came home to everything done, clean, and beautiful. We will absolutely be using Schneider again. Curt and the entire team earned every bit of our trust -- and our highest recommendation.
