If you do go on the weekends, make sure to arrive early as the parking can fill up fast. Venue and Atmosphere The great outdoors await; enjoy the mostly paved path along the creek to a peaceful waterfall. The trail continues slightly uphill and winds through the park with beautiful foliage and more creek views. Aside from the incline, the trail is relatively easy. The waterfall wasn't very full but that of course depends on the rain level, and the past month was a dry one. It was still lovely! Verdict I'll definitely visit again!

Only a couple minutes away from the bustle of 278, you'll feel secluded but safe on the multi-use paths. With only slight inclines/declines you'll have an easy ride/run/walk in either direction. You could go for miles and miles, so check your GPS during your out-and-back trip. Negatives might be the slight boredom from the return trip, and the multi-use concrete trails aren't as friendly for the foot-travelers. Those looking to hit some PRs will enjoy the straight flat roads though, and otherwise you'll be satisfied with the access from the Hiram lot.

It was just as nice as I remembered, maybe even a little nostalgic for me. The trail was calm and not too busy, but there were still enough people around to feel comfortable/safe without feeling crowded. It's perfect for families out for a stroll or a casual bike ride, and also great for runners and more experienced cyclists. Fall seems like one of the best times to visit. The tall trees lining the trail were beautiful, creating a really serene atmosphere. I genuinely enjoyed every minute of it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy some quiet time outdoors. Being outside and taking in the beauty of it all was motivation enough to keep walking, and we ended up walking for a little over 4 miles. A great alternative for a trail in the metro area if you don't want to deal with the hustle and bustle of the beltline. Can't wait to go back!

Meander through 2 miles of trails on the three loops, mostly flat and with plenty of greenery along the way. Start or end with a picnic at one of the tables near the trail entrance, or schedule a larger affair at the pavilion near the parking lot. This won't be an ideal destination for serious runners unless you're making a loop from the Battlefield during marathon training. But stroll away for a good hour or so without too much stress, since wide trails allow for easy navigation. If you get lost just keep walking and eventually you'll run into the place you were before to head back to the decent-sized parking lot. Most days you won't need to scramble for parking, since this seems to be moderately frequented by soft-core walking and off-road stroller types. We took bikes once with mixed success, and I think that's a solid plan with kids. You probably won't even need to carry your youngster while walking the bike back. Rumors exist this park will connect one day via a greenway to Allatoona Creek Park. You could add that 30-mile loop to your marathon training. Fun! For now I'll stroll along in sandals though these mulch-covered paths and thank Leone and the Price family for their generous land donation.
