Heritage garage was very fair and honest. I was impressed with the professionalism Cory showed. I would definitely recommend this company.

Professional, friendless, and fair price. Couldn't ask for better response. Thank you Corey

Requested service for garage door that was sticking/failing to lift. Asked for technician to call…read morebefore arrival. He did not call as requested but did come at the time promised. Our stated request was that we wanted the door to work but did not want to spend a bunch of money. Took a quick look at the door, cables and springs (less than 3 minutes total), then said we needed a new springset including cables and would contact his manager to get a price quote. Contacted us back the same day with a price of $4800 but then offered to replace the entire door with 'new everything' for $5500. I was surprised at the cost and figured I better get a second opinion. A competitor came out the next day and who checked the springs and said they were totally fine and did not need to be replaced. He did replace a frayed cable for $80, replaced a roller for free and inspected the motor mechanism which very clearly had broken gears. He offered to install a new lift motor for $700 but said if we ordered a part on Amazon for $50 he could probably install it in about 10 minutes and could save us some money. He spent about 2 hours and charged $168 total. He said if we did ever need to replace the springs, they would be about $1200. He helped identify the gear replacement part on Amazon which we ordered and he'll come back to install this next week. Still waiting to see if the door works next week (that will seal the deal and I'll be glad to write a positive review for him). I called the technician from Hometown Garage Doors to followup and let him know that it was not the springs after all to which he responded that he knew that and was only going to replace the springs because the cable needed to be replaced (the one the second tech replaced for $80). I found the technician to be dishonest in the initial assessment and didn't want to own up when he was called out. Would not recommend working with this company based on our experience.

I did a lot of research and thought this company had a pretty good reputation. I needed my roof…read morerepaired and some drywall work for an insurance claim. I called them out for an estimate and they came with another roofing company (Flip Side roofing-they are great!!) and said they were interested in doing the drywall work. however after five calls and multiple texts I never heard back from them until I said I would need to find another company. I got a text back right away saying that was fine. If you say you're going to do a job, you should follow through. This happens so many times and I'm tired of these people wasting my time.

I would not, under any circumstances recommend Abingdon Contracting Services. Originally hired them…read moreto build a detached cinderblock garage. They represented themselves as a one stop shop for building and home improvements. So I also had them do some home improvements while building the garage. Nothing but disappointment and disaster all the way around. Just some highlights, starting with the garage. Poured way too much concrete, supposed to have had two 8x16 foot garage door openings. Opening is only 91 inches, not 96 inches. 8 foot door won't close properly. Had to custom order the entrance door. 3 of the 4 cinderblock walls cracked before roof was even put on. Didn't order enough trusses (14 short), the ones ordered were too big and had to cut them down to fit. On the house, installing siding, left exposed wood in many places. Installing hardwood floor there are exposed nails and drips and smears of construction glue on top of the flooring in every room. They never corrected problems when pointed out. What was supposed to be 2-3 month project, 7 months later nothing they were responsible for had been completed. Had to fire them and hire other contractors to come in to fix deficiencies and complete the work. Best decision I made out of the whole process!
