They helped us have the memorial service that we wanted for my mom. They went above and beyond what was necessary and took care of what was needed to help lay my mother to rest. The Lady Mrs. Clark charged us nearly double for the same type of services as previously passed away family members. It was so sad, double talk, poor attitude, eyes rolling, head bobbing, and the whole experience was heartbreaking when she took care of us. After witnessing this, our family has vowed to NEVER send any of us there. When we pass. They now own Leon Williamson Funeral home in Milwaukee WI. Our family will stay clear of both and will pass down to generations. Some say, the only way they will go is if they could be received by Mr. Clark only. He is kind and patient and they have another guy that comes and Prays with the family, I think his name is Bill, he's nice too. So if you go to either of these funeral homes, deal with Mr. Clark directly. Lady Clark is so rude and mean and please be mindful, she will let you know she is the Boss! Oh and if she gets your love ones body BEFORE you have spoken to Mr. Clark, she got you and she gonna PREY on your sympathy. That's her job and she wants every penny she thinks you have. It's your choice. This is my opinion and me witnessing how she played my family hurts because we have trusted the Clarks with our love ones for years. Paradise was the only place we went to even with the Previous owners Mr. Bell and Stark who was friends with my Grandparents. The relationship is broken over greed and taking advantage. Also be mindful that if you have insurance, there is an additional charge. I think most funeral homes charge a certain percentage so if you have cash, pay with it and get all your money back from the Policy later. Again this is my opinion and what I witnessed

This funeral home preys on people who aren't familiar with the complexities of the death care…read moreindustry and the rules they must follow. It relies on confusing and pressuring people during what for most people will be one of the most emotional times of their lives. When doing business with this funeral home, do not take this funeral home's word for anything. They will tell you conflicting or incorrect information about the people in their care. They will omit or be obtuse about information that you should have during this process. You will have to verify the information they tell you by seeking information from multiple funeral homes and individual online research. Every time you call this funeral home, someone different will answer the phone and will not have information about the person under this funeral home's care. Sometimes you get lucky and the person you were waiting for a call back from answers the phone. There will only be one person who can help you, and they will likely be busy doing something else and they will not return your call. You will have to call this funeral home multiple times a day to get information that should be easy to get from anyone working there. This funeral home will make you jump through hoops that no other funeral home I spoke to in multiple states could understand. Because of this unintentional, or perhaps purposeful ignorance, this funeral home will attempt to push you to make decisions that you should not have to make, or take actions that you should not have to take. The year is 2024, and this funeral home does not understand that the internet exists and that not everything needs to be done in person. If you have a choice when you require the services of a funeral home, save yourself the headache and choose a different one. There are many other reputable funeral homes in the Milwaukee area who will not treat you poorly or like a cash cow. You could even ask other funeral homes about this one. The other funeral homes in the area that I spoke to were aware of this one and how it operates.

C, C & Z recently handled a cremation for our family. We were left heartbroken & very disappointed…read morewith their services. Our 92 year old loved one was under hospice care and passed away at home on June 15, 2018. By July 2nd I had not heard from C, C & Z and called them to inquire if the remains were ready for pickup. I was told the cremation had not taken place, they were awaiting a Dr's signature. The thought of our loved one having been somewhere in "storage" for 3 weeks was heartbreaking. After more calls and more vague explanations I reached C, C & Z on July 11th. The staff said she "was about" to call me that the remains were ready for pick up. The information with the remains indicated the cremation took place on July 4th. C, C & Z provided services for us in 2015 and we were very satisfied which is why we chose them again in June of this year. I don't know what changes they have made in the past 3 years, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

They guided us through the difficult process with a gentle and experienced hand. They gave us the time to think about decisions and options and were not pushy in any way. When the visitation resulted in many more attendees than anyone anticipated, they discretely handled it by calling in more staff - so smoothly we didn't even know there was a concern. Marquita in particular was wonderful to work with and we felt she truly cared about us during and even after the process. We are very thankful for the recommendation from our pastor to use this funeral home and would highly recommend it to others.

Second experience at Heritage Funeral Home. Staff is very friendly and they do a fine job of going…read moreover all of the info needed to set up a funeral. Staff is professional and do seem to genuinely care. There doesn't seem to be any pushy or overselling of services or goods. Facility is very clean and comfortable. My most recent experience there was pleasant until the day of the funeral when I saw my sister done up like an old woman. We did not have a current photo to give them but did explain she didn't wear make up or do up her hair - wash and go kind of thing. The day of the funeral when we got to see her before it started and she looked just horrible. They took a 44 year old woman and made her look 92. Gave her an old woman up do with no bangs and all combed up to the top of her head. Make up was not good either, looked very unprofessional. I don't know what and who went wrong but I would have done it myself if I knew how bad of a job was going to be done. Before the visitation started I was trying to brush her hair down, managed to fix a little but not well. When you loose a loved one, you do not want them disrespected or remembered in a way they didn't look. It was sad, everyone had the same comment throughout the day. (how bad of a job was done on her) Though this was a major mark against them in my book, I cannot give them less than 4 stars because they are a very helpful facility. My grandmother's funeral was just fine and went well. This may have just been a bad coincidence. I would recommend Heritage for services but make sure you have a good picture for their make up person to go off of.

We were in agreement to NO EMBALMING and no viewing, and we expressed this during the meeting. Six years later, I asked the funeral home about a refund for unused services. They replied that our father was, in fact, embalmed because it is a requirement for entombed individuals. He failed to inform us AT THAT TIME, that our father had already been embalmed. That's crappy customer service and very unprofessional for a funeral home. Transparency, schmansparency! I figure that since they had the funds up front, they embalmed our father and would deal with the fallout later--if we ever reviewed the itemized receipt. Just another money-grubbing funeral home that lies or withholds information to benefit themselves.
