When my child was a newborn, I visited this center about the possibility of placing him there when I went back to work. Upon entering the building, I liked the fact that there was keypad access. Not just anyone could walk in off the street. But it just went downhill from there. The building instantly smelled of urine before I even got to the managers office!! Many of the hallway light bulbs were burnt out, and I noticed later that many of the classroom bulbs were as well, just from looking in windows during the tour. When I first entered the managers office, she was very caught off guard that I was even there, because I had not made an appointment. When I explained I did this on purpose, because I wanted to see what the place looked like when they weren't expecting company, and then further explained I worked for a law enforcement agency, they agreed to an immediate tour. However, they were very reluctant about it. They showed me all of the rooms along the way to the newborn room, which was furthest in the back. I didn't ever enter any of those, they just pointed things out thru the window in the door. As soon as the newborn door was opened, you hear the teacher SCREAMING at one of the newborns..."WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU?! TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT!!" Which made all of the babies who weren't already crying, begin to cry. I literally turned around and walked out. These were newborn babies. They were out of ratio, because there was only 1 teacher and 6 children...but obviously the most dangerous problem to me...if an employee where my child goes to daycare gets frustrated enough to literally SCREAM at a tiny human who had no way to converse...that is something I want no part of. And I definitely do not want my child to take part in it!! We did have an average experience at a different KinderCare...but I steer everyone who asks me away from this one!!!

I'm not one to write reviews but this is something I wish I had before enrolling my daughter in…read morethis center. I so badly wanted to believe that Primrose Norman was as sought after and highly ranked as their sister schools in OKC and Edmond, but boy was I wrong. For starters, the front receptionist is a blessing to this center and if the directors were more empathetic, compassionate, and driven like Taylor this center would be worlds different. When I first toured primrose I only ever spoke with Taylor, I was never greeted by the directors, and never met a teacher (my mistake for being trusting). By the time my daughter (16 months) started on November 7th, I was in for a rude awakening. The first week my daughter within a few days picked up a bad stomach bug (to be expected with a new daycare) but she continued to get new viruses every other week to date. On top of all the sickness she continued to get, on the days my daughter was there I hardly had any communication with the teachers and when I'd message for an update, it would go unanswered. I tried not to ruffle feathers, but after the third message, I finally called and complained. Pictures and updates started to improve over the past few weeks but I still had an uneasy feeling. Then this week happened. On Tuesday (Jan 24th) I showed up by surprise to pick my daughter up early around 11:20 am, the kids were all sitting down waiting for lunch and I could tell my daughter was upset. I didn't know why until I got home and noticed her diaper was completely soiled and her bum was fire red with sores from sitting in her feces. Let me state, at 10:47 am the teacher of the class marked that my daughter's diaper was checked and she was "dry". I immediately called and spoke with Brandi (the director) she assured me she would take care of it and we could potentially move my daughter to a different room. Today (Jan 25th) I called back up there and spoke with Tiffany (assistant director??) and when she asked if Brandi had dealt with the situation Brandi said she didn't have the chance because of the weather. Tiffany then assured me she would get an explanation and call me back so we could move forward. A few hours went by and at this point, my daughter's bum is scabbing up and I'd decided I'd had enough of the inconsistency, lack of communication, and lack of care for my child. Thankfully, we were able to get back into our old facility. By 2 pm I called to withdraw my daughter and asked to have her stuff ready for my husband. When he got there Taylor apologized and Brandi walked out and gave him a snotty "mhmm" response when he said thanks. Mamas and dads, please take these negative reviews seriously. Primrose is not cheap and just know the cost does NOT mean quality. So happy to be out of there even after a short few months. There's no way I could bring myself to putting my daughter back in their care after the situation was not taken seriously by the leaders who run the facility.

If you really care about your child, please ask your child about the situation at this school. My daughter had three accidents in this school within a month. She was bitten into the arm and bleeding. The face was bruised. The eyes were caught bleeding. These were all happening in a short time. However, all this. The director told me that this is very normal. I talked to other parents about this. They expressed shock. They also think that frequent accidents are very abnormal. I will find relevant departments to investigate this matter!

I have never encountered a daycare manager with such a bad attitude like she would have. On different occasions she's been extremely rude to me for just trying to ask simple questions. The first time was because my sons father had picked him up on a Friday so Monday morning I needed to do my swipe for that Friday he had picked him up and I noticed that my sons name wasn't on list for missed swipes so I waited for Stacy to come back to the front so I could ask her what time he was picked up so I could do my swipe and she replied extremely rudely and said "that's a courtesy, we don't even have to post it" and I was completely taken back by that response so I responded "I understand that but his name isn't even on here". Which mind you if you miss a swipe and a few days go by you owe them $30, which I already had to pay them a couple weeks prior because they didn't put him on that list before and I didn't know. The second occasion which ultimately led me to take him out of the daycare was because my sons father went to drop him off at 8:30 in the morning and because he didn't have the dhs card (which he isn't even allowed to have because it's my case) she turned him away which has never happened before and wouldn't allow my son to go in the daycare, my sons father wound up bringing him to my job because he had to go to work, so I left my job to take him back up to the daycare to check him in and do the swipe and she turned him away AGAIN, this time because it was 9:05 and they're "suppose to be there by 9" which he would have been if they would have just let his father drop him off and I could have came and done the swipe as soon as I could. She then started to argue with me that he couldn't come without swipes so I proceeded to look at the swipe list and point out the EIGHT other kids who have been dropped off without a swipe in, she laughed in my face, was trying to belittle me and was talking down on me because I have dhs assistance and don't pay for the daycare. I had to miss work that day because she turned my son away and I tried to explain to her that I was a single mother and couldn't afford to miss because I get paid commission and she did not care. I had to file a formal complaint through corporate and decided to pull my son out of that daycare. It said a lot about Stacy's character that day and about the daycare and the type of people they chose to be in charge.

My daughter, Ellisyn, started daycare at La Petite in Norman on Alameda St. in September of 2021. Things started off okay. Fast forward to December, we watched the cameras and saw that a worker was letting her cry for 20-30 minutes in the floor without consoling her. I talked to management about it, and they assured me that it would be fixed. I get a call Monday, December 20 stating that Ellisyn won't stop crying and has a rash on her face and It would probably be best if I could come get her. I came and picked her up, took her to the pediatrician for the rash, and we went home. When we got home, I noticed she had two bruises on her eye, two bruises on either side of her mouth as if someone grabbed it, and the inside of her top lip was busted. I took her to her pediatrician the following day and had it checked out. Under his recommendation, I also filed a police and DHS report. La petite told me it was probably another kid, but they could try to get the video footage from that day and look it over, but then went back and said it is deleted after 48 hours. (It hadn't yet been 48 hours from the time of the incident.) Since the video footage "mysteriously gets deleted" there wasn't enough evidence to file anything against the daycare. I have a hard time believing it was a kid, considering she was in a room with other infants and she couldn't even sit up on her own at the time. It is absolutely heartbreaking to me that someone hurt my child, and is getting away with it. How someone could hurt an innocent baby is beyond me, it is a sad & scary world that we live in. I am sharing Ellisyn's story to warn others against sending their child here. I don't want anyone else's child to go through what Ellisyn had to. We are so grateful that her injuries were minor and there will be no life long repercussions from them... but who is to say that the next kids won't be worse? Please think twice before sending your kiddo here, it is not a good place.

The trouble started back in the fall when I was supposed to have a parent-teacher conference with…read moremy son's Pre-K teacher. It was cancelled, along with all of her conferences because she was sick. Totally understandable but they never rescheduled them. A week or so later, I get an email from the school administrator saying they thought my son needed to be screened for autism. Uh... all this without talking to ME first. But wait, things just got worse. In the beginning of January (2016), they sent home a survey asking parents to indicate whether their kids were returning to Trinity for the 2016/17 school year. At the bottom, they asked parents to list any suggestions or comments on the back. So, I did. I wrote that I was disappointed with the lack of communication back in the fall regarding my son and his supposed need for autism screening. I said I wished that my cancelled parent-teacher conference had been rescheduled so I could have been in the loop for this discussion. That very day, I got a note home from his teacher saying my son was being disruptive and causing problems. I also got a call from the school administrator about my son causing issues. From then on, it was notes home just about everyday. The worst part is that my son began to HATE going to school. Up until then, I had no problem taking him there in the morning. He never cried or put up a fuss. But from the day I wrote that note, he never wanted to go to school again. He would scream and beg me not to take him. And in the afternoon, a note home about his behavior. So he would then get a punishment and a lecture from me. Something was WRONG with this whole situation - and it wasn't my kid. It became so stressful I decided to withdraw him. So, I sent an email to the administrator (because I wanted it in writing). Still have NEVER heard from her regarding my son's withdrawal. Not even to acknowledge she received my email. Unless you're willing to never complain or offer criticism about your child's education and also have a perfectly behaved child, I would avoid this school. They enroll too many children in the classes and then if a child gets overstimulated or seeks attention (as I suspect was the case with my kiddo) they try to label him/her a problem or special needs child. I don't know what they were doing to make my son hate going there so much so suddenly, but I'm glad he's out now.

The staff is great! The owners have been there every time I pick up my child. I go in to pick up my daughter and they have classical playing at a few times a week.
