Tina's office sent a 5-page questionnaire to be completed prior to conducting a consultation call. A call that Tina insisted no one else could be present as she spoke w/ my 86 year old aunt - despite my aunt requesting I listen in to help her capture details/information provided. Assuming a professional consultation would be presented, we abided by Tina's demands. In hindsight, we should have ended the call then, since Tina showed no interest in the client's wishes. We never anticipated the unethical behavior that happened next. Note: We completely understand the concern for family members not coercing the person creating or changing their Trust. However, who protects the person creating the Trust from unethical lawyers like Tina Annis? On the call, Tina never referred to any information my aunt completed in Tina's 5-page questionnaire; nor did she listen to what my aunt said or wanted. Instead Tina used the hour and a half call to badger my aunt with questions (verbatim): Why don't you split your house three ways like you're doing with your other assets, that would be easier (asked 3 times); What if the people you're leaving your house to can't pay the taxes; What if the people you're leaving your house to adopt children & give some portion of your house to these adopted children; And other similar BS questions. All above BS questions, if necessary to ask at all, should have been asked in the questionnaire paperwork sent. They were used to "eat the clock" & add time to Tina's billing goal. Tina never referred to any of the completed, pertinent questionnaire information which was more expected during a "consult call" to assist in the Trust changes my aunt was hoping to achieve. Instead it was a series of badgering, ridiculous questions to keep my aunt on the phone to rack up the billing charges. My aunt asked several times if the call was done but Tina kept on. When the call was finally complete per Tina's billing goal, my aunt stated to us that she felt she was "senior waterboarded" - that says it all. My aunt called the firm the next day to say she was extremely uncomfortable with Tina's phone call and would not be pursuing her services further. Of course, no apology, concerns or questions were expressed/asked. And, of course, Tina immediately sent a bill for $570 - the cost of Tina's professional senior waterboarding - SHAMEFUL. This is a prime example of bad lawyering. DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM.

There were no surprises in our adoption. I think we were one of the lucky ones. We held our newborn daughter only 8 months after our first meeting with Bianco PA. It doesn't happen that fast for everyone, but I know we couldn't have done it without this team.
