The music was amazing and it was great rubbing elbows with such a legend, but the most memorable part about being in the building is seeing all of the Michael Jackson memorabilia. We saw some of his platinum records on the wall, we saw pictures of bubbles. we saw the recording studio of where he actually Recorded. That whole studio was basically designed for Michael Jackson's comfort but the area we were in was just like a viewing area where slick Rick spoke about his album. He was being interviewed and it was a visual album so it was amazing. I don't know if I'll ever be back in there because that was such a random experience, but I'll never forget it because it was definitely memorable.

He was a very knowledgable guy but what I liked best was that he was easy to talk to and very friendly. We had lots of laughs in class so I decided to try out his recording studio. I was very glad that I did. I first recorded a song called Lion In Winter many moons ago and I loved the experience. Both Jeff and David are wonderful guys that help you every step along the way. The place is a bit small but there's enough room there to do just about anything you need to do. They have a great selection or recording options and now run software based recording programs like Logic & Pro Tools. This can be a one stop shop. Recording all the way to mastering. I think that is very important. Later on I had another album project where I was recording an 8 piece band at another studio and then came back to Moonlight Studios to do my vocals and some other overdubs. We worked back and forth like this for about a year until the project was done. There were never any issues. It was very smooth. Also, Jeff & David are both amazing, amazing musicians. Jeff is great on trumpet and other horns and has played with Michael Jackson and with the awesome band Tierra. David is a wonderful piano and keyboard player with an impecable ear and plays around town all the time. Both of them have played on almost all of my songs. I'm always grateful that they would lend me their fantastic talents for my tunes. If you are looking for a great studio in town I highly suggest checking them out. He got hella good ears and makes the best mixing choices that got me in my feels listening to my own song. And what I appreciate most is that he's as invested in my music as I am, giving me pointers on how to market myself as an artist. As a new artist, sometimes I fear I might not be taken seriously because I'm not a big or even an underground name. I found this rehearsal studio through an Instagram ad a few days ago in late September 2024. I…read morecalled about rates and I was told to book through the website. I went on the booking platform and reviewed the rehearsal room options. Room E for the "solo drummer" option came out to a total of $4/hr. I booked several sessions from the last week of September up until Oct 1st 2024. Not once was it brought to my attention before, during or even after sessions until Oct 1st when upon finishing up and getting ready to leave I was approached confrontationally by an agitated staff member who said that I needed to pay up a difference in balance because the room actually cost a different price. I said I paid the advertised rate on the website, it was charged to my card and I have the receipts to prove it. A second staff member was there witnessing the interaction and seemed more understanding about the situation. I ultimately said that unless it was expressed via written or electronic form beforehand I am not liable for mistakes on their booking platform. Legally the service had already been paid for, rendered and concluded. The confrontational staff member acquiesced and told the other co-worker that he was told by someone to get payment. The method of approach was effectively coercion and I felt the attempt to intimidate via body language and verbage. I left and about 15 minutes later I received an email from the owner Brent effectively and directly telling me to look for another studio and that any future bookings would get canceled and refunded. After dealing with rude goons at Audio Rents, this company was a breath of fresh air…read more Needed to rent some audio equipment for an event. Needed for Saturday but was able to pick up Friday afternoon and return Sunday afternoon and got a one day rate. Got a pair of speakers, speaker stands, a mini mixer, wireless mic set, and all necessary cables for a very reasonable price, and wound up paying a little less than anticipated. Equipment is a bit on the older side and a little beat up (scratches, basic wear and tear) but everything worked perfectly and sounded great which matters way more than cosmetics. I'm not an audio whiz so Brent, who was away when I arrived, rushed back and showed me how to hook everything up properly so I didn't have any issues at the event. Able to park in the back or alley to load up - staff helped me with the heavy equipment too. If you need a short term rental, I definitely recommend Brent's studio.
