*EDITED review following business owner's reply. 1.5 year old 6ft wooden privacy fence staining job I paid for. VERY patchy. My fence now has stripes and spots ALL over it. I'll let the photos speak more to the quality of work. Tried to contact both Henry Construction-Fencing and the contractor/contact they gave my information to that performed the work several times after the job was done (including pictures) and it still has not been fixed/corrected. Would not recommend reaching out to Henry Construction Fencing for staining needs in the Boiling Springs area as the contractor/partner they use produces this type of work. read more

I would give Henry Construction 0 stars if I could. We got a quote for our fencing in July of 2024, and made a deposit in August of 2024. The work was approved by our HOA, and a contract was signed. Work was to begin about the 2nd or 3rd week of September. When I didn't hear anything by the end of September, I texted to let Henry Construction know that my husband would be in the hospital in early October and I didn't want them to show up then. Still no word back. By late October, I texted again regarding when work might start, and I didn't hear anything back. On October 29, and again on October 30, I made calls to Henry Construction and left voicemail. NO RESPONSE. On November 1, 2024, I texted the Henry Construction sales rep asking what the timeline was. NO RESPONSE. I also sent a message to Henry Construction on their FB page, and had no response. On November 26, I made a call to Henry Construction and left voicemail. NO RESPONSE. I chatted with the Henry Construction website: NO RESPONSE. We decided to do business with this company because my husband is a veteran and Matt Henry was a veteran (now I'm not even sure that is true). We thought, as a veteran, he would be a man of integrity. At this point, he has not replied to any correspondence of any kind... that is not integrity. We want our deposit back and apparently now have to take this man to court in order to try to get it. An update as of mid-December... we happened to see and speak to a former employee of the company and have found that we are one of several customers who put down deposits for a new fence and have not received our money back, nor has the work been done. What do I like about Henry Construction? I can't say that I like anything about Mathew Henry Construction. He sent a co-worker out to measure for a fence. I can't remember his name, but he had a tattoo to remind him how far he had come since he was a recovering addict. I actually told him I was proud of what he had accomplished. He said this was a veteran owned company, too. The coworker left with all the measurements and sent quotes out that same day. I picked a fence, signed the contract, and paid my deposit. That was the last time I talked to him till I posted on this link Nextdoor. He asked me to take my post down because I said he was doing drugs, which it didn't. He just read it wrong. He offered to refund my deposit and even said something about doing the fence for my deposit. After all the excuses and poor me whinnying, he has still not returned my deposit, and again, he has stopped responding. I picked up this company because he was a veteran. My father, Father in law, and my grandfather were all veterans. These were honorable men. They never used that status to get ahead. You dishonor veterans using that name as a trustworthy part of your sell. I'm not the only person he's done this to. read more

Last year I decided to fence in my yard to allow the dog freedom to run and play. I called Henry Construction and they responded very timely. I hired them and the job was finished ahead of the scheduled date they gave me, and the quality of the goods and services far surpassed anyone I have used before. Several months later I saw that I needed a gate installed on the back fence. I posted a review in November detailing our unfortunate experience with Henry Construction. In August we contracted with Henry Construction to build a fence and paid a $4,000 deposit. The fence has NEVER been built. From August to January we had NO RESPONSE back from the company despite multiple phone calls, Emails, texts, Facebook messages, and certified letter which was signed for. UPDATE: In January we received an email stating that we would receive a refund of our deposit. As of today, March 8, 2025 we have NOT received a refund and again all of our efforts to connect with Henry Construction have not been answered, including another certified letter that Matt Henry did NOT sign for this time. We have reported Henry Construction for their fraudulent business practice. Unfortunately, PLEASE BEWARE of this company. read more

I contacted the company to come out and give me a quote on having my back yard fenced in which included fencing the property line and adding 3 gates since my neighbors to the right and left of my already has their yards fenced in with a chain-link fence. Alyssa was quick to came out and emailed a quote by the next day or so. I told her I would think about it and get back with her once I decided. After getting several other quotes from other companies and based on the company's positive reviews I ended up contacting her back, paid $1300 deposit and we scheduled a date for them to come out and do the work. The second half of the payment $1300 was due after the work was completed. I had to work the Monday they came out to do the work so, all communication was through text messages. It was late by the time I made it home from work so, I didn't get a chance to look over the work completed until the next morning. I immediately reached out to the owner Matt that morning regarding my concerns regarding the work that was done and the adjustments that were needed (pics included). He messaged me back and stated that he would swing by and look at the post at the gates and corners of the fence that were set in concrete and that they need a couple of days to fully cure. Was told he would come out that day to look at things because the was leaving in a couple of days for military orders and would not be back until the end of the month. Matt also stated that the work/fence was covered under warranty and if any adjustments were needed, he would make sure that get taken care of. I reached out to Matt on July 26 to let him know the post were still loose and to see when he could come out to make the necessary corrections. He did respond back and said that was almost finish with his military orders and would have it things taken care of as soon as he finished his orders. I sent him another message on August 6th. I sent her an email on August 27 and I've yet to hear from either one of them. In addition to the text and email, I called them both several times, and I have yet to hear back from either one of them. I waited several weeks and I after several unsuccessful attempts to contact them before leaving a review on their company's website. BTW, several of the issues/adjustments with the fence and gate installation include the posts being too loose at the corners, the latches need adjusting, the clamps are not tight and are too long on one side making it hard to open and close, and gate is uneven in several sections. I also want to mention that they left scraps of the fencing in the yard. read more

Matthew, the owner, contacted me within 5 minutes of posting the work request. He personally drove in the rain to measure and provide an estimate. when i informed him a competitor was charging about the same price, he agreed to match the price in addition to a free gate. Matthew serves our country by serving 4 years in the USMC while currently serving in the National Guard. I will follow up once the job is complete. read more

We had a tree fall on our wooden fence during a storm last week. Matt returned our call promptly and was great to work with. Repair was done quickly and matches our fence perfectly.
