We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum along with a forest school approach of doing lots of learning outdoors, what ever the weather! The curriculum is carefully designed to make sure every child has the ability to learn in an environment that makes them unique. All our children aim to reach their early learning goals by the time they leave us. With fully qualified teachers and Early Years Practitioners, in a small and homely environment we aim to create a home from home nursery. The nursery school operates a 5 morning a week programme which are three and quarter hours long (9:15am - 12:30pm), as well as lunch club, afternoon sessions and pick ups from local nursery schools. The nursery stays open 4 days a week until 6pm so you can have a preschool education with the day care hours.

Throughout this time my experience has been positive and I have nothing but praise for the school. The teachers are genuinely concerned for the learning potential and welfare of the children and seem able to stretch the more able children while helping those who might fall behind. The amount of extra curricular activities and diverse school trips is amazing and really expands the children's horizons. Discipline seems to be taken very seriously and there have never seemed to be any issues about behaviour. The school is a real community school that has an incredibly welcoming atmosphere, to children and parents alike. My youngest child is still in the Nursery and I'm waiting to hear if she has a place in Reception, if she hasn't I will be devastated as I can't imagine a better school, and it has become part of our lives over the last 8 years!

Originally a grammar school founded by the Franciscans, it was the first voluntary aided comprehensive school to be awarded technology college status in East London. This was my secondary school. I had a great time here. As a Technology College, St Bonaventure's endeavours to promote an educational climate which is scientific, technological and vocational. Almost half the timetable is taken up with the teaching of Technology, Information Technology, Mathematics and Science. Located in Forest Gate, it has great access by both the district line (Get off at Upton park and then a 10min walk), and by plenty of buses so access is not a problem. In terms of uniform, years 7-9 wear a brown blazer with gold trim, gold and black stripped tie, black trousers and black shoes. year 10-11 students wear a black blazer with gold trim, yellow and black stripped tie, black trousers and black shoes. the P.E Kit was the same for both. It was white shorts, Blue jersey with a white horizontal stripe, and trainers. During my time, years 7-9 were not allowed outside of school for lunch. years 10-11 were allowed. School dinners were nothing special although the doughnuts were great. Outside of school, there are plenty of chicken shops and newsagents about 2 minutes walkfrom the school. This is a great school with a natural progression into the sixth form centre which has a high level of oxbridge applicants and admissions. One of the best (If not the best) consistantly for the last 15 years in grades. Highly recommended.
