Afshan helped me design the perfect bridal henna from my reference photos that perfectly complemented my different looks. She and her mother were incredibly accommodating and it was such a joy to talk with them while they were working. Both artists did incredible designs and all of our guests raved about the designs and the entire experience. The kids especially loved getting swords and flowers. We used Henna Me Beautiful to do henna for our families the day before the wedding and brought them back so they could work with guests during our Sangeet. This review is long long overdue. Afshan provided mehndi for my wedding in Santa Barbara in October 2019 and I cannot recommend her enough! She not only did my designs but also then came the next day to do close family, and then she and her mother came to our garba-raas to provide designs for the majority of our guests! Afshan is so down to earth, honest, and creative. I am not your typical indian bride and I preferred more simple design with lots of negative space- she was very understanding and provided me with exactly what i was looking for. My aunts were super impressed with her ability to create masterpieces with speed without having to compromise on design. She brought a board with aftercare instructions for our friends who had not had it before. She was so sweet, and we had so much fun together! (total of 3 days of mehndi services!). She knew exactly how to time out the mehndi so that the stain was perfect on my wedding day! (we did it four days prior). Cannot thank/recommend her enough! Book her asap! read more

Afshan did such a great job on my bridal henna. It took her about 7-8 hours to do my arms up to my elbows and my legs up to my knees. I couldn't even tell we spent that much time doing it. She is sweet, fast, professional and talented. The stain turned out AMAZING. My hands were almost black. Everyone was so impressed with her work and the stain. Afshan's mom and sister did the henna for my guests at our Sangeet. Everyone loved them. They were so quick and so easy to work up. The only thing I will say, which I don't think is a negative but it should be known, they do not do henna on men. read more

Afshan did my bridal henna in November 2021 and was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was helpful and responsive when I first contacted her, and made it easy to book my appointment. She uses the best, natural ingredients, and did a beautiful job on my hands. Not only did she meet me at my hotel to do my henna, but she came to another hotel that night where I was hosting a pre-wedding party and applied henna on a number of my and my husband's family members. Everyone's henna turned out dark and beautiful. Afshan also provided great tips for keeping my henna looking nice for several days afterward. She was incredibly sweet and friendly and had COVID protocols in place that helped me feel safe as well. Afshan did my henna (and both moms' henna) in a private appointment at her home studio a few days before my wedding. She and her team also came to our rehearsal dinner/welcome party location to do our guests' henna the night before our wedding. They were wonderful with our diverse group of guests, many who were having henna done for the first time (though note, she doesn't do henna on men). They all really loved the experience and their beautiful henna. The Henna Me Beautiful team are all incredibly talented artists. Afshan was incredibly easy to work with. She helped me figure out just how many artists we'd need for the night of the party based on our number of guests and hours. She was also very straightforward with all the necessary information, including pricing, payment, requirements/suggestions for how to make the party henna go smoothly, etc. She even showed up with some beautiful fabrics to decorate the henna tables with. My daughter had a 8 year old birthday party and Afshan did Henna for all the girls. She is so fast and her designs are so intricate. I am amazed at the quality of her designs. Henna Me Beautiful is a professional henna artist. I have been a henna artist myself and am very picky about the designs and who I get henna done from. But i like her henna because she has great line control and her patterns are open and never over crowded. I know that she makes her own henna from organic materials and that puts me at ease because I never use chemical store bought henna cones those have all kinda of nasties in them and are dangerous for your health of course. read more
