The first time we went to go and test drive the car, as well as when we collected it, it wasn't there and we had to wait an hour. It was being cleaned despite us arranging both times in advance. When inspecting the vehicle the salesman Hitesh didn't know very much about the car and was unable to answer basic questions, such as if it had parking sensors. At the point of sale, we wanted to pay by credit card, as advertised on the listing and on the door of the office, and were met with resistance with them stating the card machine was broken, but we persisted and did eventually manage to pay by card as planned. I suspect they did not want to have to pay the processing fees. As soon as I got home, despite the car being sold with a new MOT with no advisories and just being serviced, the brake light was out. I took it to Halfords and they, very slowly and only with much chasing, reimbursed me the cost of replacement. When asking for an invoice and evidence of the "RAC Warranty", we were met with more resistance. We only got the invoice with a lot of following up, and never received real documentation for the warranty. As soon as we used the car during the rain, it was clear the wiper system was faulty. The stick did not behave as it should, and some functions did not work at all, again, a bit odd as it was just MOT'd. They took the car back and replaced the stick but did not test it afterwards, this did not fix the issue either. Then, in a car park, the car stopped. It had run out of coolant and white smoke was coming from the bonnet, so we topped it up. Later that day the car failed again and we had to get it towed. We informed the dealer and they said they would send a truck to get the car repaired the next day. This didn't happen and when questioned they said they assumed it was fine, despite never checking with us. We arranged another day and they again did not turn up after I stayed in all day. When they did eventually pick the car up, they made it seem like they were doing us a huge favour in picking up their faulty car under warranty. Harry the mechanic who picked up the car was trying to blame us for the car breaking down, and complained about us paying by credit card due to the fees, asking if we would pay their fees for them when they refunded us. He said to ask James about the V5 when we asked about it. The next day James says on the phone that we refused to give Harry the V5, even though he never asked for it and told us to contact James regarding this. A few days later, after agreeing the refund in writing, the whole team went silent on us. We made a claim on the credit card and managed to recover our money, otherwise we're not sure what we would have done. We have now found out, from the RAC, that the car never had an RAC Warranty, despite it now being up for sale on AutoTrader again with no added mileage that we drove, no extra owner, and again claiming to come with an RAC warranty. Do not buy a car from here. This whole process took over 3 months, and we had the car working for less than 3 we read more
