Two months ago, the knee replaced by Taos Orthopedic became septic. Emergency surgery was required to deal with the infection and to partially rebuild that knee. To understand how serious my condition was, I was on IV antibiotics 24 hours a day for 5 weeks after the emergency surgery. I am now on daily oral antibiotics and will be through next summer. The source of the infection cannot be determined with certainty. However, my older knee replacement was entirely unaffected by the infection that has seriously compromised the knee replacement done by Taos Orthopedic. If you are contemplating surgery at Taos Orthopedic, think very carefully. The least that can be said, based on my own experience, is that surgery done there represents a real throw of the dice.

Highly recommend her and her trained staff. What can I say, it worked, I feel relief.

Could it have been the 18 hour car drive from Cali? Hmmm - let's not speculate, haha. At any rate, Andrea was recommended by my friends as a) an amazing chiro and b) an amazing human being. So check and check. The fact that she is a 2nd generation practitioner who is in practice WITH HER MOTHER seriously impressed me. What impressed me more was my treatment. It was like she had eyes on the end of each fingertip as she palpated her way across the landscape of my body, picking out each and every off kilter issue. Then she fixed me. No seriously, she fixed me. Ice packs, heat packs, stretches, adjustments, the whole shebang. 24 hour drive back plus back to work and still my old stuff is at bay.
