Excellent Hardware, Installation and Sales (but....and there is a HUGE but...)
BUT, after you have signed the contract, service is disturbingly absent. Phone calls repeatedly go unanswered. I wish I could say it was because of an off day, but in 4 years, not a single call placed to their head office has ever been returned. This is the second time I have had the same issue with these folks. After getting nowhere fast calling either their alarm central station, the Company's main line, or the owner's line, I emailed the sales rep who seems to have gotten some kind of internal action happening. I have finally received a call from someone. (though they have done nothing beyond leaving one message on the Friday afternoon before Thanksgiving indicating they were leaving the office and would be away for a few days).
Food for thought: Our alarm gives us a recurring trouble code and it takes a month to get any kind of response or acknowledgement from the Company, and only when extreme measures are taken. That's beyond bad service - that's just plain dangerous. As much as I really did like the alarm installation and the sales rep, it does cause me to pause and think that if a company whose sole existence is based on timely response can't even return a call regarding one of their systems malfunctioning, are they really going to be there if my home is broken into?
I hope to be in touch with the person who my last ditch email to the sales rep had call over the next couple of days. I will update this review with the outcome of that (if any).
Bottom line - getting in touch with your alarm company should be effortless - it's a personal safety issue. You are paying them to be there for you and the ones you love. I can quite honestly say I'm not sure if these guys are there for us beyond the initial sales and installation call. I hope they prove me wrong this week. I am so concerned about this, that I am considering buying out whatever is left on our 3 year commitment and switching to a company with a better track record. I would never forgive myself if something happened to a family member because of the failure of these guys to respond to alarm, or god forbid if the trouble code is indicative of a larger system issue which caused the alarm not to go off where it should have.
If you are considering an alarm system, please consider the above. Whoever you go with, please make sure you know what you'll be getting BEFORE you lock in for three years. read more
