The medical is absolutely horrific. I spent almost 180 days there unfortunately and was severely neglected. I was sure to kite and send grieving in daily to keep a thorough paper trail as I planned on suing them and naphcare their medical. I have severe pre existing conditions and they were unable to provide adequate care and just kept ignoring me! I had been trying to get out on an early medical release for a majority of my time there and out of the blue just a few days ago FINALLY GOD answered my cry for help! I was released only a few days before my original release date and now will go full speed with a civil suit hdc is the absolute worst in all departments! Shame on you!! read more

Not that this review will make a lick of a difference, nor will anyone in charge of this detention center care even slightly, but I can't tell you enough how much I hate this jail as a loved one of someone who has been there for almost 5 months. The lack of consideration by this institution for free citizens is alarming. I book and pay for $8 video sessions with my mom, only to be stood up because they lock people down or schedule uniform exchanges etc whenever they want without regard to pre-scheduled sessions. I cannot contact her or the jail about this after 5, although sessions are allowed until 9, and when you can, they will have no clue and tell you "tough." As an aspiring lawyer, this place is the reason I want to get people justice so they don't have to go here. The COs are supposedly pretty nice according to my mom and the treatment is fair. So inside, they are doing a good job from what I hear. But that's not what matters to me. What matters to me is my time. I gave up on the video calls since they never amount to anything, and went to an in person video session. Only for them to have no clue what to do. She never came on and they said they would reschedule it. Not helpful since I drove 45 minutes to the jail from Blue Diamond. My stepdad and I both were on the original booking. Well, when they rescheduled it for the next day, we drove all the way back. And they would not let him in this time. They said it wasn't rescheduled for two, only for one. Why would they do this? Their ignorance, laziness, and negligence is laughable. The absolute dumbest and most incapable people are employed in the front office house. They offer no empathy, no solutions. I am not the criminal here!! Stop treating me like I am! This place is horrible. Pay a lawyer for your loved one so they can't TAKE YOU for $3.50 per 15 minute call, $7.99 per 20 minute video call that you may or may not have. In person you will also be on video, no physical contact. They don't give her mail for days, not clear about what can and can't be sent. Website is amateur. People in there have colored pencils. I paid money to send them to her too and they confiscated them. Wasted my money. Why are others allowed to have it but not her? Someone needs to really get it together over there, whoever is running it. This experience is unacceptable. Henderson has nothing to do but improve. If it were Las Vegas I could understand. I worked at a firm who helped Henderson and Metro and I know for a fact y'all have nothing to do but grow and improve your systems! Get it together!!! Lifelong Henderson citizen here and I'm very dissatisfied with the experience our tax dollars are supporting. Plus all the profit they make on commissary and calls. Listen. They are in jail, NOT ME. Those dollars should be helping me as I pay for them!! Don't waste my time and punish me because you are lazy and aren't organized as an institution. This facility is awful. Inmates are locked in their cell 22 hours a day and two days a week it is 36 hours. I wouldn't do that to a dog. There is no reason for this because they are Covid negative. They need exercise at least. You go to visit and half the phones don't work. You only get 20 minutes and by the time they get you one that works, half your time is gone. read more

Didn't get the smelly girls name but the one working the phone this morning was extremely rude and not very helpful. If you hate yourself that much why are you working there. This is a very stressful time and the way she was responding to me was very unprofessional. Quit your job if you are that miserable in life. read more

They said released at 9. Still here at 11:30 with nobody released yet . WTF!!!!! Their neighbors at court said 3:00 court time which wasnt actually until 5:30. Don't trust the times provided for anything except the time they close and stop allowing visiting , evidently. read more

This detention center is very clean. The people working there are alright, not too friendly. You literally can't go inside with anything except your ID. I had a tiny purse for my car keys and I had to leave it in the lockers. This facility doesn't let you see the detainee face to face. Instead there are small TVs in which you video chat with them. The quality of the TV's are pretty bad and you get like 16 min I believe. Make sure you come fully covered up. Even though it was hot outside I went in with a sweater and was told to cover up my chest, even though I didn't think I needed to. read more

The Henderson Detention Center is mostly clean and organized. You shouldn't have much trouble visiting with your loved ones. The check-in process makes sense. They are closed for lunch, so plan accordingly. And not everyday may be a visiting day, so check that also. You will talk to your loved ones only on video here. They don't allow face-to-face visits as at other facilities. But usually the person is only going to be detained here for a short time before getting out or going to another facility. The guards are more strict than at other temporary detention centers, and they say the food is worse. But it is supposedly more safe for inmates, so it's a trade-off. Mail to and from here is slow. Parking is easy. read more

This place has everything. Super friendly staff, great food, excellent customer service. You can sleep all day if you choose too, play games provided on the tables, watch t.v. on descent size televisions, go to rec-yard, get your hair cut, eyebrows threaded, read books, or work off your time doing laundry or kitchen work. Make sure you have money, when you get arrested, so you can purchase store items (candy bars, chips, cookies, hygiene items). If you don't have money, somebody can place money on your books for you. Officer Bishop, Robbins, and Veit are my favorite Officers. read more

Unfortunately my sister got taken into custody. I am very new to all this jail/ detention center stuff. I was under the impression that maybe this worked like back in the day where u have to walk in to add money to the books. .. I was totally wrong. This place has a website . You search the name and dob. And the inmate pops up. U can add money. Or shop on the online store.and ship them a package. It's wonderfull. Aaaaannd they don't need to be calling you collect. They can use the money to pre pay for phone call use..... I'm just glad they make it so easy for family and friends. read more

The facility provided outfits for my stay, toiletries, 3 meals a day and an occasional movie night !

I mostly dealt with a generic ass MR.clean looking MF. He was alright. The police department that brought me in with my pants pulled to my knees and the corrections officers promptly pulled them up and let me know that they weren't going to treat me like the police officer did. I warned them that if they didn't give me lodging and room service I was going to write a review with four stars. So here I am keeping me word. Mr.clean and company good job. read more
