If it was possible to give less than a single star, I would do it. This office, staff and doctor deserve negative marks. First, the doctor, his procedures and practices are hopelessly out of date. You would expect to find bottles of leeches in his office. A direct quote from him on the prescribing of Humira: "I don't know nothing about them biological drugs. I'm not up to date on 'em, so I don't feel confident prescribing them." These biological drugs would also include Embrel, Stellera, Remicade, and Methotrexate for the use of helping to alleviate the symptoms of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. He's a dermatologist! Why else would patients be going to see him if not for help with something like this, and he's not up to date on the "latest" technology? (Technology that has been around for about a decade in some instances.) I'm sure he does a booming business treating acne.
The front office staff is rude, incompetent and backwards thinking... They believe a "red-flag" for insurance fraud is a married woman who has kept her maiden name because that is what is on her insurance card, but the new patient intake forms require the woman to put her husband's name as the primary insured policy holder... The last names don't jive... So they will throw the woman out of the office! They won't bother to call the insurance company to make sure if the insurance is valid, to see if the policy holder and the dependents match up. They just deny medical care to a person who has waited weeks for an appointment and who pays exorbitant amounts of money for a medical insurance plan so they can pay these incompetent fools! and accuse them of trying to perpetrate insurance fraud in front of a waiting room packed like a sardine can (and but is not nearly as clean.)
Pass this office up and find a voo doo practitioner or some ancient Chinese herbal remedy for your skin woes. You'll be treated better and they'll probably have more modern techniques. read more
