Ranch dressing was not ranch, it was a dressed up salad dressing that Germans put on side salads. Schnitzel was cooked perfect, I think this would be a safe bet if you order food here. Wait staff was ok. This is not a place I would go back to eat at again. We only came here because we wanted wings, only American diner I have been to in Stuttgart and definitely won't return. Anyway, why go to an America diner in Germany with high expectations if you are an American.

First visit here. We brought Lee here for his going going away back…read more Anywho... this American Diner was very pleasant. Food was plentiful no matter what you order and you can even order a pitcher of soda. Which is best instead of paying up to 3€ for s soda you can order a 1.5 liter pitcher for under 10€. The burgers were juicy and thick and plump. Good to the last drop my husband says. Lol. They had the Mezzo Mix soda which is orange and coke cola mix. I don't think we sell that back in the states. I'll have to take a picture of what A Mezzo Mix soda looks like. I had Orangina. I keep seeing the billboards everywhere here in Germany and decided I need to try this stuff. Very good for an individual who doesn't drink soda. However I don't think this is soda. It didn't taste like a orange soda with all the suds and bubbles and gas. I will be back to this diner. We came for lunch so if you come for lunch and don't see breakfast on the menu it's because it's an entirely different menu. Ask for it. Parking is across the street in the parking garage. Outside seating and inside. Very large place. Enjoy Over and Out FranknKimm We finally Found a Diner...Yippeeeee

The staff is so kind, with smiles all around. The food, however, varies quite dramatically. The first thing to note is that the prices aren't too bad. You can get your fill for under €10 here. Their burgers and fries are delicious. The burgers especially are quite large. Their steaks are pretty disappointing, though. I asked for mine to be medium rare and it came out well done. The fat wasn't marbled and was just in one strip, even though I had ordered the ribeye (this was likely not a ribeye). The salad that I ordered was heavily DRENCHED in dressing and cheese, and there was little variety of greens and other assortments in it. My friend had ordered the Mac-and-cheese, and it was hands down the worst we've ever had. It looked very liquid-y, much closer to a soup, which initially we assumed was cream and cheese, but upon eating it, we figured out it was actually WATERY. Germans apparently don't know how to make Mac-and-cheese. I've had better $1 instant mac-and-cheeses. The waitress, though, noticed we didn't like it and ended up not charging us for it. Seriously, cannot stress how kind the wait staff is. I'd still definitely come back. Though the food varies and can be mediocre, it's often pretty good, and the experience is well worth it.

Found this little gem while we were out and about, trying to go to one of the local festivals…read more Unfortunately, the festival (which was going to have burgers) was closed on Sunday. With burgers on our mind, I found Filou American Diner and we headed there. First tip, make a reservation if you want to sit inside. We went at 5:30pm on a Sunday, and were informed there would be an hour wait if we wanted to sit inside; we opted to sit outside and still had immediate service. Great selection of burgers and some interesting variations on burgers. Greek burgers, Italian burgers, spicy burgers, BBQ burgers...you name it. I haven't found any place in Germany that has really good American style hamburgers; not sure if it's the meat or that everything is well-done, but it's hard to replicate the American burger. Filou's gets close with their burgers. I had the Bison burger, which was priced right, cooked right, and just tasted great. The fries were cooked well, with just the right amount of crunch. Word of warning...the kids meals are fairly large; I've never seen so many fries in a kid's meal before. It all worked out, since I didn't order fries, and I imposed a "fry tax" on my boys. Overall, great little burger place, seemingly in the middle of the quiet town of Aidlingen. We will definitely make our way out here again.
