We just moved to the area and I was looking for a wood stove and was directed to Berts. No wood…read morestove yet, but I found this amazing antique lamp. It worked and was reasonably priced. This is one of those places where there are so many hidden gems. Every corner has a surprise or some fascinating item. They had a collection of antique Jim Beam bottles in the store on the day I bought my lamp as well as some solid wood bedroom furniture. I have added on their Facebook so I can keep and eye out for my wood stove and any other goodies I can find.

For the most part, they have a lot of school furniture, kids' desks, bookshelves, etc. LOTS of old side chairs. I felt like most everything I saw was priced very reasonably. There is a corner of the store labeled "Pat's Project Pile" where you could find chairs and a few other furniture items for $5. If your thing is refurbishing old pieces, then this is your place! The couple working there was nice and friendly, offered to help us but didn't hover, and invited us back another time. A would-be 4 star review was reduced to 3 due to feeling like I may have narrowly escaped my own death in the upstairs of this old building. Many of the floor boards are cracked, creaking, and shaky. Holes in the floor were covered with a thin sheet of plywood or cardboard in some cases. And to make it all the more challenging... there were no lights! I had to use the flashlight app on my phone to get around. I'm not a prude by any means, and I don't mind getting dirty in the dustiest of flea markets and the like, but this was just unsafe.
