I had a bad experience with O'Flaherty Landscaping in Whitby. Among other work, they applied…read morepolymeric sand on my pavers on May 17, 2026. Subsequently, when it rained, the sand was washing away. On June 19th, Jim O'Flaherty and a rep from the manufacturer came to assess the issue. Jim clearly said that if he uses a sealant, it will solve the issue. On June 20th, Jim applied a sealant. On July 3rd, when we had heavy rain, the sand was still washing away making a mess. I took pictures on July 3rd and sent an email to O'Flaherty Landscaping, which was ignored. I also called Jim on July 3rd to let him know and he said there is nothing more he can do, falsely blamed it on the sand and said to deal with the manufacturer. This is against the Consumer Protection Act since the contractor is ultimately responsible to fix the issue. On the Google review that I did, O'Flahertys responded with lies to save face. They also said they put more polymeric sand on July 3rd before they sealed it. This is a lie. They only sealed it. They also lied that the pictures I attached to my Google review was before the remedial work. The remedial work was done on June 20th and on July 3rd, when we had heavy rain I took pictures and sent them an email with the pictures, as mentioned above, which was ignored. They also installed new sod as part of the project. Subsequently, there was a big dead patch of grass. Theresa gave me a black bag of soil. Again they lied saying they also gave me grass seed which they did not. The manufacturer told Jim to call me to fix the issue but he did not call. The manufacturer told me the sand is not defective but that it was incorrectly installed. Jim is not owning it but instead chose to abandon me. I have all the emails and conversations documented as proof in case I decide to take next steps.

The movers were happy - easy to load the boxes onto their truck. Packing and unpacking was easy - no construction of boxes, no tape required and no boxes to get rid of after the move. The 2 sizes of boxes allowed for packing of heavy items (books, cans) in the smaller ones and less heavy items in the larger ones. The handles made the boxes easy to move around. Really disappointed with how Oshawa Carpet One handled an issue after our installation…read more We had flooring and baseboards installed and during the installation a nail was put through a plumbing pipe behind the wall. We didn't know at the time because the pipe didn't start leaking until months later. When we eventually found water coming through our basement ceiling and opened everything up, the nail through the pipe was found. Our plumbing was installed to code. I contacted Carpet One about what happened and was basically told they weren't responsible because of a liability clause we had signed. I also contacted the store manager directly and sent the information about what happened, but nothing was done to resolve it. I then left a Google review and they responded publicly telling me to contact the store manager, which was especially frustrating because I had already contacted the manager and had even included the email showing that I had done so. I understand that accidents can happen during renovations. What I'm most disappointed about is how this was handled afterwards. A nail from their installation went through our pipe and caused a leak and damage to our basement, and instead of trying to work with us on a resolution, they simply said they weren't liable. I definitely wish I had known this was how a situation like this would be handled before choosing them for our installation.

We were shown the different styles of carpets and explained what we were looking for . Youre allowed to take home the sample swatches so there could be some stock missing if someone's signed out two or three of them. My only complaint here is there is a large sample on the front and tons of small samples on the back... Hard to get a feel of how it'll look with only small samples. I know you can't keep excess stock everywhere but maybe if they kept some scrap from jobs of the most common colors and had larger samples handy it would help. They do have another way to get an in home view. They have an app/website where you sample photograph your home and test the carpet color. I found it was fairly accurate and we chose the carpet color that looked best . You do pay for the carpet 100% in advance. We were a little off put because when do you ever pay in advance . But they do have a 100% guarantee and will even rip out the carpet and replace if with a different color if you decide you don't like it. They have such great reviews, we went ahead and booked. We opted to rip our our own carpet out to save a little money on install. It does take some time as the edges can be a hassle but all in all it wasn't too bad. Install day came and our installers Mark and Luigi were great. They joked around with eachother and were a delight with our doggies. When the carpet was initially brought into the house we had an "Oh NO" moment. We thought we chose too light of a color and they would have to rip it out. But, once they started installing it on the stairs the light hit differently and we both knew it was perfect. The carpet itself is thick and luscious. Feels like you're walking on clouds. You get what you pay for 100% and we are 100% happy with the choice we made to go with carpet one. Thanks to Harrison and the team for the guidance .

My very expensive Dutch clocks have been to the clockmaker 2 came back and the third one is still there as they came in a box with the chains hanging and the had severe damage clocks were over 100 year old. Wanted to move them myself but was told the6 knew how to do it. Am also missing some items in law blankets that is my grandson favorite. Be careful do not hire them! Only one girl was really good Tammy I barely saw and her daughter was also not very interested in packing.
