I was genuinely impressed with how clean and well-kept the entire fairgrounds were. Everything felt organized and family-friendly. There's so much to see! Animals, live music, tons of food vendors offering classic fair eats (and more), along with a great mix of local small businesses and larger vendors selling everything from handmade goods to services. The ride and game section was full of energy -- definitely fun for kids and adults alike. I think we'll be adding this to the family tradition for the beginning of August -- it's a great way to wrap up the summer. Also, totally gets me excited and ready for the Great Minnesota Get-Together!

It definitely seems to be very community focused which I loved and the workers seemed to know most people by name too! The art and decor inside was beautiful and loved how they have snacks and drinks to keep people fueled as they work. I would love to come back in the summer when I could go on their patio which looked great. Overall awesome experience and I'll keep an eye out for their next event like this!

This park boasts a rather massive parking lot, accessible from Wilde Ave. Almost no one was there when I was on a weekday afternoon, just one lonely disc golfer who picked up and left shortly after I got there (maybe it's busy during the summer?). Apparently this area serves as a decently-sized disc golf course, though I'm not one for that particular odd sport. But in addition to this, there is a small play structure for kids as well as a baseball diamond, and a gazebo-like structure for picnicers. I didn't spot any restroom facilities, but they did bother to have a port-a-potty available, which I was grateful for. Personally, I'd wandered here on foot over the pedestrian bridge above highway 52 from Thompson County Park. Always nice when trails adjoin with one another to create a longer trail to enjoy. I also continued to the east along Simon's Ravine, down to the trailhead at the bottom of the hill. I really enjoyed the scenic views of trees and folliage. The trail itself is paved and in good condition.
