I have been seen and taken care of by ALL the doctors in this clinic. They all are very educated and practical. They are dedicated and caring. I have only had good experiences since being a patient at Helm & Helm since 2016. I have delivered 5 babies, surgery, and even normal yearly check ups. I love this practice and everything they do! I don't think that the negative reviews are fair. It totally depends on who you see. I absolutely adore Dr. Charles Helm. I met him for the first time 18 years ago, (super early in my pregnancy) he put me at ease immediately with his genuinely sincere , quirky , personality. He's been an amazing and attentive doctor throughout the years. He recently urged me to get testing ( that found something abnormal) personally called me with the results and lead me to a facility that he trusted- and ultimately saved my life!!! So yes the wait is long (probably -especially on the days he's there ) but, think about it? He's spending the time and listening to each patient to make them comfortable and heard. After an EXTREMELY bad experience, I went on Yelp to check the reviews of Helm and Helm. They had MANY awful reviews and at the time I didn't have a chance to post my experience. When I logged back into leave a review, all of the reviews have been DELETED. Ask yourself, it seem normal that my review and the ONLY other review was from 2015????? I have been going to this practice for many, many years. They have seriously declined. They do not care about their patients whatsoever, you are seen as a dollar sign. After waiting 2.5 hours in the waiting room with 17 other women (yes 17 waiting for 2 doctors), I was called in and Dr. Fanning came in maybe 20 minutes later. Explained to him a pain I was having in my side, which I thought to be my ovary. He very quickly checked and said it was nothing. It was my annual and no breast exam. He was out of the room within 2 minutes I know my body so I decided to make an appointment with a new doctor who was fabulous. She wanted me to go for in ultrasound. Sure enough, I have a cyst the size of a baseball growing on my ovary. DON'T, PLEASE, DON'T GO HERE. If you do, please post a new review. Hopefully mine wont get deleted. read more

I have just created a Yelp account for the first time solely to write this review. In this day and age, that says a lot since everyone has an opinion about everything. I had an EMERGENCY appointment scheduled for 230pm yesterday. Another woman in the waiting room also had an emergency appointment for 245pm. Everyone was growing impatient as the time passed about a half hour passed our appointment times. The female who had an appointment scheduled 15 minutes AFTER ME stood up, complained and was seen next. Before me. Before the 215pm patients, before the 2pm patients..I stood up and said "I'm unsure what that just was but I am also having an emergency and her appointment was after me" the receptionist proceeded to TELL ME her medical issues to justify why she was seen first. I am 23 years old and know that is SO against HIPPA laws and such an invasion of privacy. Skip ahead another HOUR. Yes. Another hour I am finally called into a room. I am sitting in there for another half hour before sending my girlfriend to see where the doctor is. A casually, office-dressed woman steps in and says "I am so sick of people asking us 'when this, when that' she will be here when she is here" two hours after my scheduled appointment time. We all know what kind of office this is...when the doctor FINALLY steps in she does not knock, she does not announce herself and seems very rushed. To not knock while you know the person on the other side of the door is indecent is so beyond unprofessional. After a solid minute she forces out a "how are you" to which I respond "late." She rolls her eyes and says "we're doing our best" if this is your BEST attempt at professionalism and time management...just give up. She gives me an exam, says there is nothing wrong when I have a lump visible with the naked eye (with a long history of ovarian cysts which was my main concern that they were related) offers me pain meds (which I declined) and walked out. I have made it a full essay with out swearing and I'm about to pop. FUCK this place. They are inconsiderate, unsympathetic, unprofessional with no time management skills. Seek help elsewhere. They do their very best to end their day at 5pm and if you are at risk to ruin that for them..you are unimportant. (Even if your appointment is scheduled for 230..because you'll probably be seen at 430 like me) read more

I would never recommend this practice to anyone. First, the wait time is approximately 1hr in the wait room and then another 1/2 hour once you've been let in. Second, The doctors share minimal info with patients during pregnancy. If you don't know the right questions to ask don't expect them to be forthcoming with information. Third, scheduling in a nightmare. The nurses have mixed up your scheduling location 3 times now. Although my appointment card shows one location, they have repeatedly called the day before the appointment to tell me that my appointment is in a completely different office. If I weren't so far along in my pregnancy I would have changed practices. This entire experience has been horrible which is really unfortunate because your OB should make this experience as pleasant as possible! read more

I also had a bad experience with them too! so i had to come see if i was the only one! i see that i am not. not only did they read my chart from 2011 saying i had an issue to calling back and fixing it, i never went back to them they were so bad, at the time i had state insurance so it was free now they are trying to say i owe them 300 dollars, well my new doctor told me they just got the note from them this year! that makes no sense i feel like its a big scam! i called to fix it no one answered. like what the actual fuck is that. ok rant over i hate them. and i am glad i am not the only one its sad though, no one should go there. read more
