Then, to top it all off, they decided to charge me over $100 for my visit (yes, even with insurance). I am never going back. Absolutely ridiculous.

I contacted my insurance company and they said the medicine I received didn't match the diagnosis the NP gave. After calling AFC to get it sorted out, nothing happened. Received another bill. Contacted them again and finally they fixed it. I received a bill for my $35 copay which I paid online. Just today I receive another bill for the EXACT same amount for the same service. I don't know what kind of scam or shady business they are running but this is unacceptable. Will definitely be going elsewhere from now on. Shame I have this place a chance for being the closest one.

Overall the atmosphere of the whole clinic/center is relaxed and laid back. There's a television in the waiting room and everything feels clean and up to date. I did not receive any physician care here but I did take advantage of the walk-in lab to get blood drawn. And when I say "drawn blood" I mean TWELVE vials (my new doc is apparently extremely thorough). The woman working at the lab was awesome. She was a little snarky but in a completely accessible warm, joking way. She was meticulous with checking and double-checking all the labs that were ordered. I warned her about my veins being crap (at most places, they stab into my arm and then "dig around" continually moving the needle under my skin and stabbing every which way until they finally get a vein - I don't mind needles or pain but it's sickening). This lady, on the other hand, felt both my veins and was careful to choose a small needle. She stuck me once, precisely, right into my vein, and got a good draw. THANK YOU, LORD. Next time I need vampirical services, I won't hesitate to return.

At the ER I was informed that MRI's of the knee are not done in the emergency setting. This is frustrating as I was given the expectation of an MRI being performed in the ER - I wish the lady I saw understood the medical system enough to know that. The Urgent Care team would not even tell me their thoughts on what was going on with my knee as they "did not want to speculate". Not really sure what was done for me today - no answers, no thoughts, just an erroneous referral to the ER for something that no ERs perform (MRI of knees emergently). If you have a knee injury I would NOT recommend going to this clinic. Total waste of time and money.

BUT you can join their waitlist online (or via kiosk if you go there in person) and get updates via text to come back for your appt time. Which rules. So I filled out my info on the kiosk (next time I'll do it on their website so I don't have to go in) and went home to wait. 10 Minutes before my appt I went back. And I was back and seeing someone 15 minutes later. The facility is new so it's super nice and clean. They have a fish tank in the lobby (which delighted some children waiting) and comfortable, plentiful seating. There's also a small shop which I assume is open M-F 9-5 with snacks and such. That primarily for the office workers I'm sure but it's a nice perk for patients. The person I saw for my appt was a student NP and she was super nice and helpful but still, a student. The doc came in after she assessed me and did a brief exam and gave me some tips for feeling better. I kind of wish he hasn't seemed so rushed and took more time with me because after I left I felt like I still had some questions. So you may need to be a bit more of an advocate for yourself here if you're more comfortable with a doc. Clinic staff is also super nice, btw.
