I literally went in with almost no extensions left (last fill two weeks ago) and left completely full. I always trust Lindsay to do whatever will look best and she never disappoints. I absolutely love Glo Derma and their entire team. They are not only incredibly talented, but also…read moresome of the kindest, most genuine people you'll meet. They really listen to you and make sure you feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. For me, it's never been about looking different--it's about feeling refreshed and like myself again. The results are so natural, and I leave feeling confident, energized, and honestly just happier when I look in the mirror. I used to spend so much money on creams and products hoping for results that never really came. Now, I go in for occasional touch-ups and it's so much easier--and actually works. It's one of the best investments I've made in myself. What surprised me the most is how much it impacts your confidence. When you feel good about yourself, it shows in everything you do. I'm so grateful I found them and trust them completely.

I went to Anna's and had the BEST gel manicure I have ever had. I had healthy nails and after my…read moremanicure I felt like a hand model :-) Cheri (sp?) was my nail technicaian. they looked and great and really lasted without chipping. Unfortunatley Anna was out of town and I had to get them removed by another technician. I asked her to be gentle to protect my natural nail and after a few minutes of sanding them, without stopping to wrap them in acetone/foil, I asked her to stop sanding them and she refused and said she would not hurt my natural nail. she kept sanding away--I was almost in tears and she refused to stop I should have gotten up and walked out. she never used acetone and she DESTROYED my nails. I couldnt tell how bad it was until the next day when they were peeling away, bending and they were bruised. My nails HURT and now I am left with the most hideous, destroyed nails, She was rude, inconsiderate and had no idea what she was doing.

This was, without question, the worst salon experience I've ever had…read more I went to Blush Hair Salon with a photo of the haircut and color I wanted. Jen told me the only way to achieve the look was with a balayage, bringing the total to $365. I explained that $365 was outside my budget. I also explained that I understood it wouldn't look exactly like the photo without balayage, but I wanted to get as close as possible by matching the highlight and lowlight colors while keeping my existing base color. I wasn't asking for perfection--I was asking for the closest result within my budget. Instead of working with me, Jen refused to do the color because she said it wouldn't achieve the exact look. At that point, I decided I would at least get the haircut since I was already there. Unfortunately, the haircut looked nothing like the inspiration photo. The picture had textured, choppy layers, movement, and curtain bangs. My haircut had very little layering and a completely different shape. The owner eventually stepped in and agreed to do highlights and lowlights, but he also refused to use the colors I requested. He told me the blonde in the photo was "too white" and the darker pieces were "too dark," and instead chose colors that he felt would look better. What bothered me most wasn't that they couldn't duplicate the picture perfectly. It was that every compromise I suggested was dismissed. Both the stylist and the owner decided what they thought I should have instead of listening to what I was asking for. People walk into salons every day requesting fashion colors like pink, purple, blue, or green, and stylists help them achieve the look they want. I wasn't asking for anything unrealistic. I was asking for blonde highlights and lowlights in the tones shown in my inspiration photo, adjusted to fit my budget. Instead, I was repeatedly told no and ultimately given what someone else thought looked best. The final color isn't terrible, but that's not the point. When I pay for a service, I expect to be listened to. I left feeling frustrated, unheard, and incredibly disappointed. In all my years of getting my hair done, I have never experienced so much resistance over simply trying to achieve a look I wanted within a budget.

The dermatologist will help screen me for skin cancer, but for the rest of my damaged skin, I rely on the IPL. It's a laser that targets sun damage, temporarily darkening it, and over the next week the sun spots and freckles will fall out. I give the IPL credit for my ability to finally feel confident without caking on 1-3 layers of foundation, and I give esthetician Laurie credit for delivering these results. I came to Bella Body because I followed Laurie. Bella Body is a beautiful office, run by friendly staff that offered me beverages while I waited (and even was able to move up my appointment because I'd arrived early). This was my first time getting an IPL on my chest, but I'm excited knowing that my results should turn out as great as they did for my face. The prices are a little bit high, I'll admit. But I am very big about results. I'd rather pay a little more when I know I'm going to get the results I want, as opposed to paying less and seeing little results. I can't speak for their other services, but for the IPL I plan to return at least yearly, as long as Laurie is here. I will try to remember to post before/after pictures of my results to show what a difference one IPL can make.
