Now I can't eat on that side of my mouth because the gum area has gotten infected. I now have to hire a "REAL DOCTOR" to fix the more problem. I accommodated the change and arrived early, only to be told that my appointment would actually be around 3:30 or later because another patient's appointment couldn't be changed. Had I known that, I would have taken the opportunity to eat before coming, especially since I was there because I was in pain. When I expressed my frustration, instead of feeling heard, I was asked, "Do you want me to cry?" The staff member then pretended to cry. I found that response unprofessional and inappropriate, particularly toward a patient who was already in discomfort. I do want to recognize the office manager, who stepped in, listened respectfully, and sincerely apologized. She handled the situation professionally and helped de-escalate it. I also requested copies of my X-rays but only received photographs rather than the actual X-ray images. The clinical care I received was good , which is why this interaction at the front desk was so disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve the patient experience.
