Was told that my diesel 2017 F250 needed $4000 worth in repairs. 1- low pressure fuel warning and engine light. Was told that the some fuel pump needed replaced. After the check engine line was cleared I have not had the problem in 2 months. Safe to say this was not a needed repair. But a scam from Hellmans. 2- Upper oil pan engine leak. This I was told was 17 hours of labor at $120 an hour NOT to mention the parts. Took the truck to Garys Garage. He cleaned and troubleshooted for $200 found two loose nuts on the LOWER oil pan and tightened. Has not leaked since. So $4000 potential repair bill cost be $200 plus sales tax at Garys Garage. Where will you take your vehicle for repairs? I guess you can take it to Hellman's if you like getting ripped off. read more

I don't think I've had a better experience trading in a vehicle. I traded in my Jeep for a used hybrid, and everyone was very accommodating and helpful. I got a fair deal with no pressure. It's not like a big town car dealer, and I recommend them. read more

I just called for service on my 2010 Ford Ranger, Patrick, the ford maintenance manager finally answered the call after I was transferred to the Toyota dept. He is rude and ignorant about Ford products. He refuse to service my 2010 Ranger's transmission, adjust the shift lever indicator and only offered to replace it. DIY on Youtube is simple. We have always taken our 2006 Jeep Rubicon LJ to Hellman Toyota when mechanical issues arose and always received satisfactory service. In November 2020, the rear main seal was leaking, took the Jeep in, it was fixed without problem for the cost of $570.00+ and all was good. The rear main seal started leaking again in February 2022 (13 months and 5,000 miles later). Got the Jeep in the service department and after looking at it, was told by the service advisor that it was not the rear main seal but rather the two hard transmission lines were leaking and the cost to fix was $640.00+. I explained that I do have mechanical knowledge and I #1) was able to see oil coming from the rear main seal and #2) the drip under the Jeep was motor oil, not transmission fluid. I asked them to please have the mechanic look at it again and advise. I never got a call back so a couple hours before closing, I called, spoke with the service advisor who stood by their original diagnosis. I told them I was on my way to pick up my vehicle, do not work on it. Took the Jeep to a local certified ASE mechanic for a second opinion (did not tell them about my Hellman experience) and he confirmed the rear main seal was the source of the leak. Needless to say, I felt lied to by Hellman service and if I did not have the mechanical knowledge that I do, they would have scammed me out of $640.00 for work that was not needed and it is my opinion that they did not want to stand behind their original repair of the rear main seal and fix it at their cost. Sorry to say, I will not be returning to this dealership for service or repairs on any of my vehicles. My trust in Hellman Toyota service has been broken over this one incidence - their loss. read more

I was interested in a vehicle that Hellman ford had. The salesman called me and said it was back form the detail shop. I told him I would be right in. I live about 30 miles away. When I arrived the salesman said he sold the vehicle, even though he knew I was on my way. Poor sales. Was a total waste of my time and money. I will never deal there again!!! read more

I can't attest for the service department, but I had a terrible experience with the sales department. I spent 4 hours with a salesmen, left for 30mins to grab lunch and think about the offer, only to come back to find that they had promised the vehicle to another interested buyer within that timeframe. I did not receive a phone call or any chance to walk away with their offer. Very unprofessional and lacks common curtesy, look elsewhere if you're looking to buy a truck or car. read more

Hellman Motors contacted me about my 05 Ford Mustang that I had advertised for sale in Craigslist. They made me an offer to trade for something on their lot, or to buy my car outright. I went down and checked out the cars they had, and decided on one that was going to net me some cash back, but then was told the salesman had made a mistake and the cash back would be significantly lower than was originally offered. I declined that car, and asked how long the cash offer was valid. I was told 30 days. I was also told that I could look at some partnering dealers in GJ, but when I found a vehicle I was told I was on my own with that dealer. When I asked if the cash offer was still valid, I was told 'no', that things had changed. This was 5 days after I was told the offer was good for 30. The deals at Hellman's were good, the cash offer was fair, but neither the salesman nor the company stood behind their word. If you decide to deal with Hellman Motor Co. get everything in writing, they cannot to be trusted. read more
