Pools were filthy, both slides shut down, and they drained the indoor pools while we were there. They let us pay full price and never bothered to warn us that people were going to be doing maintenance projects on the pools. They should have shut this one down and kept Star Plunge open. My kids loved this place and we had a lot of fun. The staff was friendly. The outdoor slide wasn't working but the indoor slide was, and we enjoyed the pools and hot tubs. It's fine if you are just expecting a pool to spend a couple of hours in. read more

Fun place to sit sand soak in the natural hot springs. We choose this spot because there were less people and we could social distance. The facilities were a little run down the outdoor water slide was slow and could use more water pressure to push the person down the slide. The place could use some general TLC. read more

My first time to a hot spring and/or mineral pool! Boy was I surprised! $18 for two, and without a time constraint. They have both men's and women's locker rooms...containing changing rooms, toilets, showers, and small lockers (.50c for a locker). Coming out of the locker rooms you're immediately walking into the massive indoor hot spring pools and water slide! They separate the pools, some are bigger than other, as well as some are hotter than others. Employees are regularly (like every 25 minutes) checking the temperatures and maintaining everyone's safety. Also inside the main area is a steam room (dry) and sauna (wet). By far, despite how fun the outdoor pools are (which feel amazing in cool weather), my favorite area was the sauna. The small room is powered by the natural hot spring fountain running against one of the walls. While providing all that heat and moisture, the cedar walls just seem to emit all of their aroma into the area. It. Is. Amazing. And while it is not-so-obviously placed outside the sauna, the cold shower head provides an exhilaratingly perfect combination. It SERIOUSLY pleased the Russian in me. Just need a little birch tree whipping haha! I only knocked off one star because the fine details of the building appearing old and worn down. It didn't take away from our experience, but it put into question how they clean the water. Which I still don't have an answer for... maybe they could put up info on why the mineral water is great for us, and what they do it it to provide the experience! read more

Inside includes a regulation 25-yard pool, a wading pool, and hot tub with jets. Outside has another mineral water pool and 3 more hot tubs with jets. Not very family friendly, the lifeguard was stalking us the entire time. Being very annoying and making our experience very uncomfortable. Lurking and make false accusations that kids were running. Very dirty, the springs had dead skin floating around in the pools and bird poop on the deck, you would think the lifeguard could make herself more useful instead of stalking guest. read more

It's Thermopolis. It's hot springs. Hellie's is one of three on the street. The State bathhouse is free but limited hours. Hellie's is more moderately priced than the other. There's an inside pool with various chambers of varying temps and a water slide. Inside is good for the Wyoming winters. Outside's a big pool, three small hot tubs and a good sized water slide. the physical plant is a bit long in the tooth. Not as good as Chena, better than Tokini. read more

We only stayed about 10 minutes. It is not just a little run down. It is dirty and neglected. There was plywood covering what I can assume were openings for pool pumps or skimmers? The indoor wooden stairway to the slide was waterlogged and growing stuff all over - think mineshaft. I am from a small tourist town myself and understand they are operating on a small budget and dependent tourism. If I felt like cleanliness and safety were the priority, I wouldn't be writing this review. Small things like removing an unused, rusted umbrella stand from poolside, using standard replacement parts instead of plywood, replacing deteriorating wood doors, cleaning some pools of algae off the pool decking would go a long way to making it a better experience for guests. read more

Place is rundown and dirty. The girl at the front desk hates her job, her life and everyone that goes to swim there apparently. We were treated very rudely by the staff who was running around yelling at everyone (apparently they don't like people to have fun there!) My niece purchased a floating toy and asked them to inflate it for us and we were told that "they were in the middle of a staff meeting" and we would have to wait, and then they threw the floaty on the ground where it sat for 30 more minutes. We had to go ask them again to please inflate it and were given attitude about it. We paid nearly $70 for 3 adults and 2 kids under 6 to swim and we had to leave within an hour of being there because the chick at the front was being so rude to everyone and we were tired of watching her stomp around and yell at everyone. I'm a local, and I take a lot of people, family and friends swimming when they are in town. We will never be referring anyone to this establishment nor will we be giving them any more of our money! Go to the Star Plunge instead!! More fun, cleaner and nicer staff!! read more
