Probably one of the worst customer experiences I have had in Florida. I made an appointment for 2:45PM, 2 weeks ago, and drove 45 minutes from my house today-while I was stuck on the turnpike, knowing I was going to be late, I attempted to call the number listed on my Groupon. There was no answer. I also sent a text. When I arrived at 3pm there were no signs on the main building or instructions on how to find the suite/office. There was no suite number on the Groupon. When I finally found it- the lady told me I would need to come back and she couldn't take me today. I refused to make that far of a drive again and did not feel warm and fuzzy about this experience. I unfortunately have to agree with the terrible eyebrow reviews. 1. It is not microblading per the Groupon description. Two very different things to her Tatoo vs microblading. I have had microblading twice in 10 years fantastic results. I had very similar experiences to the other horror stories except she was kind to me bc I didn't open my mouth to stop her as soon as she started to FREEHAND my eyebrows that now look like a sharpie marker was used to draw on my eyebrows. I said "natural " and asked about microblading and she just said this is better. NO it is just faster for her. I want to cry when I look at my face. I look harsh and angry . I have started to scrap my eyebrows and wash them to try to prevent them from staying this way I have already seen fading thank goodness amd it's only been 3 days but it's fading grey :( I look ridiculous the are aggressive looking and totally uneven. My daughter noticed immediately and she's a child. Actually, everyone notices they are so bad. This is your face. Don't do it !!! I purchased a Groupon and went there about 6 months ago to get my bottom eyeliner done (after having it done elsewhere and it not working). The other place was more expensive and they charged me $35 more for anesthesia. This "anesthesia" was a cream which was 5% lidocaine and did NOTHING for the pain. Victoria used 22% lidocaine, and while it still hurt, it was much more bearable. My eyeliner turned out amazing by the way. I bought another Groupon and went in today to do my top eyeliner. Victoria may not win any awards for customer service but she is nice and professional. She knows what she is doing and I'd trust her to do any more work on my face anytime. The previous reviews said it was painful...well duh, you are getting a tattoo. On your face. What do you expect? I will definitely go back and am a very satisfied customer. I also tipped her almost the same price I paid for the Groupon because anywhere else, the price is almost $300 and I paid only a fraction of that. I have had a variety of cosmetic procedures over the years with outcomes that range from highly to mildly favorable. Horrible is an understatement to describe my experience with Victoria Viviane Ruben. Victoria is in the wrong business, as cosmetic services should be rendered with politeness and class. She is mean, unprofessional, unethical, and downright rude with an ugly personality. I purchased a groupon for brows microblading a few months ago, and as she was working on my eyebrows she complained that her services are worth a lot more than the discounted prepaid price. Victoria did not take any measurements for mapping and shaping of my brows. When I asked her to allow me to select the shape, she answered that she had already determined the shape from the way that I had penciled my eyebrows. She somewhat gave me a choice in color by asking me about my desired shade without showing me any samples. These discussions took place as she was working on my eyebrows. She continuously pulled my head or pushed my shoulders while pressing her hand on my eyes. I asked her politely not to press on my eye because it was painful and unbearable, particularly, since I wear hard contact lenses. She told me that she could not help handling me this way because I was uncooperative. I told her that I have never being treated so roughly by anyone during any type of cosmetic procedure. Victoria continued to complain and talk negatively about me and became even rougher. At that point, I told her to stop, and I got up from the table. I was upset and told her that I had never been mistreated before by anyone as she had done. From the moment I got up from the table to the moment I left her place, she did not utter a word. For some strange reason I stumbled through Helianthe's name via Yelp and started reading all the reviews - good and bad. I have been going to Victoria for over 4 years and have recommended several people to her. Victoria may not be the most friendliest person (even though I have never had an issue or miscommunication) but I can see where others are coming from however, Victoria is extremely knowledgeable, she uses disposable needles which she shows you, she matches the color to your hair and her place is very clean and nicely decorated. Things you need to know: Arrive on time! - she runs on schedule and has back to back appointments. If you arrive 15 minutes late make a uturn and go back home chances are high you will need To reschedule . #2 The address is not easy to find so mapquest it google map it or use a garmin- if you are not from the area you will get lost #3 this is semi permanent makeup - not completely permanent therefore with time it fades #4 this is not microblation this is tattooing thus a different look and even though she does it in strokes the look is different. I had an interesting experience at Helianthe. I waited 3 weeks for my appointment, she was FULLY booked in the mean time. I figured, wow, she is in high demand and her work must be great. After 3 weeks of waiting, I got to my appointment 15 minutes late because the Helianthe location on Google Maps was outdated. It sent me to a different location, from which I had to call her and discover that her address was different than the one listed on Maps. She was not pleased, and didn't care to hear about the map location discrepancy so that she could fix it. When I got to my appointment, 15 minutes past due, she said she only allots 30 minutes per eye-brow appointment, and I had used half of my appointment time. Now, if I'm literally getting a tattoo on my face, we've never met before, you don't know my likes and dislikes, I would think you should take at least 45 minutes with me to make sure that we are on the same page and that you will do a thorough job tattooing my face. Either way, I was very eager to get this done after the 3 week wait, so I decided to follow through with the appointment, whatever was left of it. Before we got started, her phone rang from the next customer, who could not find her location, she rudely explained to her the address and after she hung up called her "stupid." At this point I stopped trying to explain to her why everyone who is familiar with using a smart phone kept getting misdirected to a wrong location. She tattooed my eyebrows. They look ok. But they are uneven. On my right eyebrow she literally put a dot, starting to draw a strand, and then changed her mind. So now I have a dot, which looks like a mole, tattooed on my right brow. But that I can play off. What bothers me the most is that she drew all of the strands going upwards, rather than naturally bending the strands in the shape of a natural brow as it progresses along my face. All of the strands were going up. Even at the end of my eyebrow, she drew the strands parallel to the ones in the beginning of my brow, all going upward. The good thing is that the tattoo only lasted 7 months. That's a long time. But its better than the 2-3 year time span I was told to expect. I will not be going back. I went to Victoria about two years ago to have my top eyeliner done. I had my bottom eyeliner done in Texas a year or so prior. My bottom liner left much to be desired. I explained what had transpired in Texas, and I told her that I was not happy with the bottom liner. As far as I am concerned, a reputable "artist" would never criticize another "artist's" work...and Victoria did not say one negative thing about the prior "artist's" mess up. She just told me that if I wanted, she could touch up the bottom liner for me another time. I thought that was a very professional response and a NON egotistical response. Anyway, she asked what I wanted for my upper liner, and I explained that I did not want it too thick. I also said that I did not want it really black because as we age, dark makeup looks atrocious on older skin. She numbed my lids, and proceeded to tattoo the liner after first making sure that the anesthesia was working. Maybe I have a higher pain tolerance than some people, but I can say that the pain really was not bad. Yes, it was a bit uncomfortable, but I think if I had taken a sedative prior to the appointment, I would have been more comfortable. I only say this because I do not like people so close to my face. When I've had to have surgery on various parts of my face in the past (removing moles), I was very squeamish, too. It had nothing to do with the pain, though. Throughout the process she would stop if I asked for a break. I found that the hardest part of having my lids tattooed was trying to keep my eyelids from fluttering...I guess for some people it is just a natural reaction. Anyway, she took her time, and asked if I wanted a wing done on each eye. I told her that I would like a very small one...and at the completion of the procedure, when I saw what she had done with the wings, it was exactly as I had imagined. Perfect. She did very precise liner on both of my eyes. Perfect again! I intend to return to her this May ( I actually live in Massachusetts) to have the bottom liner fixed. Personally, I feel she is a true artist of perfection. I am a perfectionist. Since I am an artist, too (though of paint), I have a keen attention to detail. And so, I loved the work she did on me. It was as close to perfection as it could have been. I don't know what happened with the other reviewers who had bad experiences, but I have to say that mine was wonderful. Some people do not have an awful lot of self awareness in relation to how they come off when they approach someone, verbally. They may not realize that they sound superior, or that they sound as though they are talking down to someone, but they might unknowingly be doing this. Many true artists are very sensitive people, and when it comes to their craft, sometimes artists can be VERY touchy and easily offended. The best way to NOT possibly offend an artist is to just be very mindful of how you verbally approach their craft and their competency of it. Bring photos with you. Actually draw the shape you want on a piece of paper. No one can know exactly what you want unless you convey it as accurately as possible. Determine what colors and intensities of colors look best on you. Keep in mind how the color/intensity, thickness/thinness of line, style and shape will look on you in the future. Decide if you want a sharp line or a "misty" line. As much as possible, try to arrive at your appointment with a really good, realistic idea of what you are expecting. Talk to Victoria in a non superior, non pushy way. Ask questions. Ask if what you want is realistic. If after all of this you do not feel comfortable, then be honest and tell her you need to think about it more before you let her work on you. This way, you will hopefully be happy with the outcome...whether it is leaving with new brows/lips/ liner/etc, or leaving with nothing done! I just had my eyebrow Tattoo done by Vivian. She was very nice and informative. The procedure took about 45 minute. She started with the right brown and within few minutes she gave me a mirror and she asked me if I wanted the brow thicker or that was good. I have brows, I just wanted to fill them in so I don't need to do that with makeup. Overal I am very happy already. I've never had a permanent make up done before, it was my first experience. I was afraid it would look extremely fake make up. Well, I did my eyebrow, and it took 1 week without washing to see the final result, and 2 months to really see the definitive result. I loved the result, however, some parts of m eyebrow need to be retouched. I payed $ 100 with a Groupon but to retouch is like $300, what makes no sense to pay. The french lady that does the service is very nice. I would do again or retouch if the price was more reasonable. I would recommend to a friend. read more

To say I'm dissatisfied is an understatement. I asked if she would draw the eyebrows prior to tattooing, but as with the other reviews, she advised she only does free hand. She did ask me to draw the brows the way I wanted them (then cleaned it off). She really should draw what she intends to tattoo first, maybe the final result would be decent. I now have two mismatched eyebrows. I have actual tattoos so was very surprised when she tried to sell me a touch-up package. My tattoos have never required 'touch-ups'. She stated that her permanent makeup is not ink so may not take. Whether this is true or not I have no clue. It sounds as if she only has one color. I wanted dark brown. She pointed to a picture & told me it would look like the eyebrows in the photo - a dark brown. In reality they look like a faded black. Apparently when I don't use a brown powder to even out my eyebrows, they look almost blue (I say this because a friend told me so). It also sounds like she has one shape for all! The eyebrows are thicker & more arched than what I drew myself. As with all tattoos, my brows were oozing when I left so I actually thought they were even. Not until they healed could I see that one was darker, thicker, & more arched than the other. The "brush strokes?" Horribly unnatural in appearance. I count myself lucky that I'm able to fill them in an make them appear fairly normal & matching. I'm kicking myself in the rear for not doing more research. Frankly, I was blinded by her web site's claims of experience & expertise. All of which I now question. I couldn't be more thankful that I didn't buy her touch-up deal. The owners name is Victoria. She claims to be a teacher of permanent make up from Paris. She told me that she teaches classes and has been doing this for over 20 years. I initially purchased a deal on Groupon and decided to do my eyebrows. Well, the procedure was very painful even though she applied a topical anesthetic. The initial eyebrow didn't work it flaked off after only a few days and I was very disappointed that I wasted $100 and all that pain and suffering. I should have learned my lesson but in an effort to get the result that I wanted I went back and paid out-of-pocket for the eyebrow service +2 touchups which was a total of 300+ dollars. After three painful applications I have a little bit of the eyebrow but the color is gray and the shape is not what I want and does not match my other eyebrow. Additionally, the eyeliner that I did twice also has not stick to my skin. I don't know whether it's her technique or the materials that she uses or whether it's just my type of skin but after all of those painful procedures I have very little to show for my pain and suffering and I'm about $600 out For all the different procedures. DONT DO IT!!! I went in to do my eyebrows today after purchasing a Groupon and signed a paper explaining that she would draw what she intended to tattoo on and not start until I was completely comfortable with what I saw. That is not at all what happened. She told me when I asked that she would not draw them first to see if that's what I would like, that she's been doing this for years and teaches classes how to do permanent makeup and she will only freehand so I should just tell her what I want (how impossible is that to explain?) and she will just do it. I asked her if we could stop every so often and look? "No." "If you are unsure of my abilities maybe you should just leave." I should've left.... I attempted to fix her outlines to make a more natural graduation of an arch but she went right back to her original grinch-esque shape.... Long story short I took one look at myself started to cry a little, she (visibly offended) told me that I obviously don't know what I want and that she will not spend a moment more on me because her next appointment was waiting (she took me in at 5:30 and it was 5:59). I asked her if she was seriously not going to finish our appointment and fix what she did, she told me that she absolutely would not and that I should come back another time and she would finish me but I better have a smile on my face or she wouldn't touch me, but for now I needed to get out of her office.... I walked over to get alcohol to clean the blood seeping out of my face as she continues to yell: stop touching her stuff or she will call the cops and have me arrested and that I need to leave immediately. At this point I'm hysterical crying begging this woman to finish our appointment and fix my face, please dont make me walk outside looking like this and she starts screaming for jean Claude (her bouncer?? Does this happen all the time??) I finally leave and warn the poor girl waiting not to do it and went to sit in my car crying wiping the blood and leftover ink smudges from my face. In the end this ego maniac was so offended I didn't like her freehand that she banished me from her office bleeding with no bandages or ointment to put on these terrible brows. I purchased a Groupon before reading the sketchy Yelp and Google reviews. After hearing that she didn't draw the makeup design on your face before doing the tattoo, I emailed her SPECIFICALLY ASKING if she would draw the design on me BEFORE she began to use the tattoo pen. She assured me via email that OF COURSE, SHE ALWAYS does. I also asked for pictures of sample prior clients on eye brows, and she told me that for "privacy purposes" she could not send me any photos, but many are available in her office at the consultation. I went to the consultation, and there were only a few pictures of the eye brows that were my "choices" for how I wanted my eye brows to look - not ONE looked like one that would work for my face shape, and several looked VERY FAKE, super obvious that they had been tattooed on! I was not satisfied with the "choices" I had and I told her that I wanted her to draw on me first. She told me "OH NO, we are using an air brush technique, and you cannot draw it on first. It will not look like what we draw on." I told her that regardless, I wanted to see her plan for my eye brow before she did it! She took out a SURGICAL PEN and told me to draw on my face what I wanted. I was appalled - I hadn't even decided that she was skilled enough to do the tattoo, and I would prefer to use my own eye brow pencil, that I had in my purse - I told her that, and she picked up my things and walked me to the door, stating "we cannot work on you." She was SUPER rude and VERY unprofessional! DO NOT GO HERE!!! She told me she would refund my money through Groupon, but four days AFTER the appointment she marked my Groupon as REDEEMED and did not contact Groupon. When I texted her about it afterwards, she said that she had marked my Groupon unredemed in front of me and that I needed to contact Groupon. I purchased a groupon for $99 to get permanent eyeliner for my lower eye lids. I arrived with my mom because I was worried I might not be able to drive since my eyes are extremely sensitive. Its a small room with a desk and a small sofa and the procedure bed you lay down on, kinda like a massage table. The French woman is very, very nice and informative. She layed me down as soon as I arrived and applied some numbing cream on my lower lids then placed a small piece of serran wrap over for 10min. She then wiped off the cream and proceeded to start tattooing. It definitely does hurt!! And I have a high pain tolerance so be prepared because the numbing cream isn't the best. Unprofessional and just plain Offensive think they got their licenses at McDonald's do not let them touch your face these women are too busy yelling at each other and trying to raise the original price to do their job. They gave me crooked permanent makeup every morning i have to draw over what they did to look somewhat normal. They gave a different price on phone then in person I wish I would have walked away right then and there at that first red flag. There were others like their uncomfortable waiting space in the hall of an office space just chairs in a Hall. No spa experience by far and DEFINITELY NO SKILLS.I looked in the mirror and kept asking them to fix it until they were so thick and now I have to draw on top of them too to make them even. Victoria is a hustler. She hustles people due to the cheap price offer with groupon. I would recommend to have your eyebrows pre-drawn(with permanent marker) so she can follow the lines. if not, you will have two different shape eyebrows with one higher than the other. She's rushing for the next client that's waiting(each appt is only a 1hr apart), I hope she does dispose the needles properly. She will tell you to come back in 2 weeks, but never answer her phone after (you might have to just show up). I taught about it and I REFUSE to let this little mean old lady back on my face. I found Helianthe last year using a Groupon. My eyebrows had virtually disappeared due to overzealous waxing and no, they don't always grow back! I needed two visits spaced 4 weeks apart to complete the look. It was amazing! Victoria is an experienced professional with an eye for beauty. She doesn't need to draw the eyebrows first - she is not an amateur color-by-numbers technician. It is a tattoo and so it does fade over time. But that means it always looks natural! I have received so many compliments on my eyebrows. My eyebrows maintained their look for approximately 15 months so I just went in for another touch-up. Some things to keep in mind: her salon is in the Aventura Executive Plaza, yes, arrive a little early, and yes, she is fully booked because she IS that good. This isn't a relaxing spa experience - you are getting a tattoo. And if you love the sun and the beach (like me) your eyebrows will not last 2 -3 years. This place is horrible I wouldn't wish these people on anyone. Just very rude women. I purchased Groupon online an expensive one for permanent makeup however I went to do eyelashes first I literally am throwing my Groupon away because I will never let these people touch my face again. Especially to do something permanent that scares me to death. This morning I saw two ladies walk out with orange eyebrows that looked so fake and trashy while I waited for a chance to get my appointment back for reasons I will later state. I thought to myself maybe that's what they wanted and I wanted eyelashes now and permanent eyeliner later so hopefully that will come out differently. They are rude and when I came In For my appointment that morning lady wrote down wrong phone number and cancelled my appointment so I could not even come in that morning. She couldn't verify I was coming because of the mistake she made of writing down wrong number so I had to come back 630 in The evening and find a babysitter for my daughter to do my eyelashes they promised they would upgrade however went back on that and said they would do bottom for free which would be cheaper to them. Ok by now I just wanted them done. The lady made a spider on each eye eyelashes were placed randomly and the other two ladies either manager or owner were yelling at her the entire time telling her to finish me already. The waiting room is in the hallway of a place that has other office spaces. Very small place literally a room and while the lady was making a kindergarten arts and crafts project on my eyes some eyelashes were above the eyelash line some on. Some were on the middle of my eyelash. My friends who have seen me with eyelashes many times by other professionals who know what they are doing literally laughed at me or felt sorry for me. It was embarrassing I had them removed by a professional as soon as possible and wore sunglasses until then. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IT IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNCOMFORTABLE. read more
