It's one of those ideal spots where you could spread a blanket on the green grass and read a book until your heart's content; have a picnic with loved ones; or work on that tan when the weather's right -- and when the weather's right *everyone* seems to venture out of their homes to work on their tans. In the center of the park stands a large fountain that I've noticed has a dual purpose. Not only is it a decorative feature, but it serves as an outdoor bathtub for both children and dogs. Nearby Viktoria-Luise-Platz is the U-Bahn which shares the same name. Stores, cafes, and ice cream shops are also within walking distance. Tucked away from noisy streets, this small park has its peaceful moments which provide neighborhood residents with a place to clear their minds and enjoy life in Berlin.

Located right in the heart of Berlin, Tiergarten is almost impossible to miss, as all roads lead to it or through it. Once inside this park, you'll you'll find a very large amount of all kinds of trees, plants, grass, and shrubbery. The park is truly a testament to a vast natural space in the center of a city. You will see people riding their bikes, running, walking, and just kicking back on the grass throughout the park. As urban as most of Berlin tends to be, this park is truly a space for a person to workout in nature or just commune with all that is natural. The one thing I will say, that I find very curious about this park, is that there are very few restrooms. You really have to walk a distance to one if you need to use the facilities. From this, I have seen a number of people, particularly men, just using the side of a tree to relieve themselves. I imagine, as vast as this park is, where there are numerous private places, this is not that uncommon of an occurrence. This is not a criticism, this is just something for your to keep in mind if you come to this park. Be aware, you should know where one of the few restrooms are located before you enter the park, just in case you realize you need to go. Overall, this a great park. A fun place to just walk and enjoy nature and some peace in Berlin.

Instead it's just a giant swamp filled with bicyclists, nowhere to sit, nothing to see. Very few benches. Sprinklers that spray pathways. We decided to take a little break from touristing around Berlin to read our books in Viktoriapark! And it turned out to be one of my favorite places we explored on our short trip to Berlin! Viktoriapark opened in 1894 and contains a famous Berlin landmark - a cast iron monument dedicated by King Frederick William III of Prussia to the liberation wars fought at the end of the War of the Sixth coalition against France in the course of the Napoleonic Wars. The park also contains a beautiful (but totally artificial) waterfall that begins at the foot of the monument and continues down the hillside to the intersection of Grossbeerenstrasse and Kreuzbergstrasse. We walked along the paths running parallel to the waterfall to the top where the monument is - and stopped several times to take pictures of the beautiful park. After we reached the top, we walked to the open field area just off the monument where hundreds of people were reading, playing with dogs, playing Frisbee, drinking, smoking, etc. It definitely seemed like a place where young locals spend time on the weekend! The park is beautiful! Definitely worth exploring - and I found relaxing and reading my book to be the perfect break from touristing around the city! I highly recommend exploring the park if you're looking for a relaxing break from being a tourist!!

The crowd is from all around the world, all ages, and mostly locals. There are teams playing Boules with serious faces and passion. The fountain boasts a beautiful golden statue of an elk. The elk is the symbol of Schöneberg. Right next to the park you will found a subway station. Probably the most beautiful of Berlin. It was built in the 30s and features a view from the inside over a small artificial lake in the park. This is a must-see and hidden pearl of Berlin.

The park is great for a walk, jogging, chilling with friends and even dog walking. There are playgrounds for kids and skaters. Everyone can find somethings to do here. Besides those, it also offers couple historical and worth-to-visit buidlings and sculptures inside the park, such as the beautiful Königskolonnaden and the one and only Kammergericht (the highest state court). Both are really photogenic, if you like European architecture style, don't miss this park.

The Park itself is really for the public. there are no charging or anything. and it offer a lot. there are children playground, pingpong, swings, skateboard/bike/basketball playground and so on. you can hang out with friends or small walk with family. Of course you can also come here alone for training and jogging. you may also find some cool street graffiti, you can see the the train going around, kinda remind me a bit New York, very urban and modern. The location is also really nice, very close to Potsdamer Platz. Not difficult to find. So when you feel like it, just pay a visit.

This airport was the scene of many airlifted supply runs. There's also a pretty interesting monument in the front of the complex celebrating this.
