There is a parking lot up the hill, for those seeking a longer walk but also very close to the lookout point but we were on a time crunch to make the sunset so we chose the closer lot There were people already there with their tripods set up to capture the lovely, tranquil, valley and if the natural beauty wasn't enough, we also lucked into a transport ship rounding the bend as the sun was setting....the river is used to transport coal & other heavy items by the very ships we saw that evening The Mr advised me Saarschleife is 1 of the famous sights in the Saar region & the Saar loop is considered the symbol of the Saarland....& I can see why....just lovely!

This was well worth the 10€ price tag. The tree top walkway and the views it provided were…read moreincredible. Water closets were on each end of the walkway and very clean. There is also a cafe and gift shop at the start of the adventure. I plan on bringing my family here when they visit later this year, I know that they will enjoy this experience.
