I had a lot of anxiety and even more questions when we set out to do our first major remodel earlier this summer. I knew that we wanted to remove at least one wall to make our kitchen in our late 50's house more of an open plan. I made a call to Dale based word of mouth recommendations from several friends. Dale has extensive experience as a high end finish carpenter. He has worked on many large jobs, such as large estates leading a large crew of men. At first I was concerned that we won't be able to afford Dale, but that was put to rest after our initial consultation meeting. Dale assured me that quality is DNC's number one priority and no job is too big nor too small. After speaking with him, I discovered that he's done many remodeling jobs, not only on large high end estates, but on such jobs such as our modest house. Dale was extremely helpful in setting our expectations on what to expect. He had great ideas on what we should do to make our kitchen remodel project stay within budget, but more importantly, he worked with us to bring our design dreams to reality. To this end he recommended a great architect to work with and coordinated with him on making design adjustments and kept communicating with us to make sure that we were informed and happy with the direction. Dale worked with us through the permitting process. Because of his knowledge of the building codes, the permitting process through the entire job was a breeze. He coordinated with other subcontractors, such as electricians and tiles etc. to make sure that they remained on task and on time, made helpful suggestions and even caught issues that we had not noticed. Dale supervised the entire project, stayed on task, and went above and beyond to make our dream kitchen a reality. We are very happy with the results and feel that we got a great value and great workmanship from Dale and Dale Nugent Construction.
