FANTASTIC COCKTAILS! My friend and i were looking for a place that makes really great Dead-Rabbit whiskey style drinks and oh man, we hit the jackpot with this bar. The bartenders were incredibly friendly and accommodating; customizing our cocktails with jalapeno, basil, and all types of accents to match our drink preferences. They truly are mixologists-not bartenders. Located on the corner near Savignyplatz in West Berlin, it's easy to get to (right by the S-bhf), and easy to stay all night. The lights are heavily dimmed while the music is set to just the right volume; slow paced, warming electronic vibes flow through the bar. Probably one of my favorite bars in all of Berlin, excellent craft drinks and a great location with indoor and outdoor seating. All the cocktails are pretty original and really good and the bartenders and staff are super helpful and multi-lingual. A favorite of myself and several coworkers and a usual stop on our weekends out. read more

Okay, I'm a bit biased here, but I met my boyfriend at this bar (not the way it sounds, we had been corresponding for a while over the internet- okay, that's not also how it sounds, we were in an expats forum talking about life in Berlin, very innocent I assure you!). Well, the bar is quite posh and a great place to meet someone for the first time. It's dark and very welcoming. I totally fell in love there and we go there every year on our anniversary (in March). (sigh) okay, enough rambling. Drinks are somewhat pricey, but worth it. This place is actually a whiskey bar I believe, which is what I had when I first went there, a Jamesons on the rocks (not the most inspired whiskey choice but I was young and whatever). The ambience is simple, stylish, and one feels like a good drink is what's important here.
