Lexie Enlow and Chris Heckert were outstanding and incredibly knowledgeable. I received quick, informed responses and was always offered multiple perspectives. I never felt pushed to do anything beyond what I was comfortable with, and cost transparency was always apparent. They were also incredibly understanding and willing to work with me financially throughout what became a long and expensive process, which meant more to me than I can express.
Most of my communication went through Lexie Enlow, and she was really the star of the show I truly felt like my case mattered to her. My stress was consistently met with rational, knowledgeable explanations of the law rather than responses to my highly emotional state. My anxiety was never met with a condescending tone or frustration, but instead with empathy and problem-solving solutions that were consistent with the law and kept my child's best interests at heart.
One thing I especially appreciated was that I was never simply told what I wanted to hear. Lexie and Chris were honest with me about possible outcomes, explained the reasoning behind their advice, and made sure I understood my options before making decisions. Going into hearings and trial, I felt extremely prepared. Lexie helped me understand what to expect and how to approach testimony without ever making me feel coached or rehearsed. Chris was equally prepared and thorough when it came time to actually litigate the case. I always felt like they knew my case, knew the details, and had a reason behind their strategy.
I also had some experience with Mitch, the other partner at the firm, when Chris was unavailable. I appreciated his support as well. It was reassuring to know that even if my primary attorney was unavailable, there was another attorney within the firm who could step in, understand what was happening, and offer his own expertise. All three attorneys brought something different to the table while still providing consistent guidance.
Family law is such a sensitive matter, and when I started this process, I genuinely did not know what to expect or what a "good" attorney looked like. I was dealing with one of the most stressful periods of my life, and having attorneys who could separate the emotion from the legal issues, explain what actually mattered, and keep me focused on the bigger picture was invaluable.
