She received anesthesia at this vet a week before she passed, to have nine teeth removed. Lolly did not respond well to the procedure and vomited the day she had the surgery. Within a day, she had developed a respiratory infection. My mom called the vet on Thursday and they brought Lolly in. She was given pain medicine and an IV. The doctor did not check for aspiration pneumonia, which is what Lolly had. Lolly declined further on Friday and Saturday. My mom called the vet every day and not once did the vet recommend my mom go to the ER, and instead, the vet claimed that this was a side effect of Lolly's teeth removal. My mom brought Lolly to the ER that Sunday. Lolly had developed aspiration pneumonia, which this vet should have caught. Since the vet did not catch this, Lolly had developed sepsis, which upon being admitting to the ER, had turned to sepsis shock. Lolly passed away on Tuesday, a week after she had her teeth extracted. My parents did what they can, they called the vet every day, and the vet assured them that it was the side effect of her surgery. How was I to know to look out for aspiration pneumonia? The vet never told us, however, a simple google search tells me it is a common side effect of anesthesia. I haven't eaten properly for a week, my parents are in so much pain, and it's all because of the negligence of this vet practice. Please do your a pet a favor, and do not bring them to this vet. Lolly was an incredibly healthy, beautiful, sweet dog, and she should never have passed the way she did. If this vet had caught the aspiration pneumonia, or at the very least, told us to bring her to the ER, she would still be alive. Unfortunately, since the vet minimized her condition, she developed sepsis, which proved to be deadly. Lolly's blood is on this vet's hands.

On a Sunday night after he experienced what appeared to be a syncopal episode, we contacted the hospital for emergency guidance. We were informed by staff that the only doctor on duty was in surgery and that there was no veterinarian immediately available to evaluate him. We were advised not to bring him in. The interaction with the receptionist was also notably lacking in empathy or urgency, which was especially distressing given the seriousness of the situation. For a facility that represents itself as a 24-hour emergency hospital, this was deeply concerning. If an urgent patient cannot be evaluated because the only doctor is unavailable, that reflects a significant gap in emergency coverage. This was not an isolated issue, as we had experienced ongoing communication and responsiveness concerns over time. After years as clients, and following my dog's passing, we did not receive any acknowledgment from the hospital. He was family. We expected urgency, compassion, and accountability. For these reasons, we have transferred our pets' care elsewhere.

The staff was kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient, making sure not only my dog but also my daughter and boyfriend felt comfortable. What really stood out was how they went above and beyond in explaining different food options for my dog. Instead of pushing expensive brands, they took the time to educate me on affordable alternatives that are just as nutritious, which could save me a lot of money in the long run. That level of honesty and care is so rare these days. They also did something so small yet so thoughtful--offering my daughter a little toy to help keep her happy during the appointment. It made the whole experience easier for all of us. Their pricing is very reasonable, and in a world where big corporations seem to dominate, it's refreshing to come across a small business that still operates with integrity, heart, and true passion. I'm so glad we found them and will absolutely be coming back! Thank you, Brittany McCann
