He began the work in Feb 2012 and will finished it in just over a week (extremely fast and high quality). He, his son, and his nephew all work together and have always been punctual, extremely professional and very fast. Gary, who is the owner and has been in the business for over 20 years, is almost always on the job site and is available to speak to at all times. He is very much involved in overseeing and actually implementing the project. His team leaves each day by cleaning the space and they always touch base with us about what was done and what will be done the next day. We've dealt with many contractors in many states and as we still own property in other states, we frequently have dealings with various contractors....Gary is by far the most reliable, professional, and quality contractor I've come across. His prices are fair and he is very well acquainted with the Hingham and surrounding town building inspectors. One of the building inspectors for Hull was so shocked by the poor quality of the workmanship that he took photos for documentation. Derek's subcontractors, Richard Handrihan, electrical, and Sean O'Rourke, plumbing, both also performed substandard work and repeatedly up charged for work as they claimed Derek owed them both portions of the deposits I made specifically earmarked for them. Overall the experience was a nightmare. Beware!

Now that doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement, right? The whole "he's the best of the worst" but NO, that's not the case here. MIke is a pleasure to work with, and the guys on his team clearly take their cues from his approach. He communicates every step of the way (text, phone, stops by) and always responds to messages RIGHT AWAY. His work is excellent and if there is such a thing as a "creative" plumber, that's Mike. These really old houses in Hull can be very challenging to work on but Mike comes up with a solution every time and never cuts corners. Finally, his prices are fair - which, given the service he provides, should be high. He's installed a new bathroom, fixed the screw-ups of another local plumber with a tankless water heater, replumbed lines to accommodate basement renovations - and we couldn't be more pleased with every job.
