    Good morning Paddington
    Brian B.

Easy and efficient! Forgo a taxi say 'nay' to taking a bus. Go EXPRESS! This is a super quick, like taking the TARDIS. Time travel is not guaranteed, but it may feel like it the way you get to downtown London in comparison with the a taxi ride. Final stop is Paddington station where you can catch another train or take a jaunt into Hyde Park if you have a few hours to kill between flights. Going back to Heathrow airport, it will take you to Terminals 2, 3, and 5. I recommend buying a round trip ticket because it is cheaper than buying to separate single tickets.

While the airport is very easy to navigate, pay attention to the different signs and determine your best mode of transportation. I am going to highly suggest the Heathrow Express, this is the second time I have used it, and this time alone, it's very simple. You will see sales attendants as you exit baggage claim and near the ATM (get some cash while you can) and if you know you are returning via train, get both tickets and save a few dollars. The train is a 15 minute ride into London and stops at Paddington Station, you pick it up at the same location on your return. Where I was located in Hyde Park, was a 45 min-1 hour ride to the airport depending on the traffic, this takes 15 minutes! I didn't use the tube anywhere else, I didn't need to, taxis were everywhere and the ride was about 5 pounds to wherever I was going for the day. So don't hesitate, roll that luggage out of the terminal and follow the signs to the elevator outside of terminal 3 and head on down to the train station, hop on and enjoy! Unnerved Traveler

Glad I parted with a few extra quid for first class. It's a standing-room-only nightmare in the other carriages.

I paid 7 pounds above the usual one-way fare of 25 pounds to sit in Business First Class (odd name, yeah), and the difference is night and day. It's expensive for a 15-minute ride, but so far, I'm very happy with the experience.

12/03/2018: Heathrow Express heading towards Paddington Station.

12/3/2018: My second-born daughter, advised me before heading to SFO, the most expedient commuting to arriving at my destination, i.e., Safestay via Elephant and Castle IS riding the Heathrow Express Train . . . Undoubtedly, I wholeheartedly agree! After being thoroughly interrogated . . . No~grilled by the UK BORDER'S female agent via #25, I exited the passport screening and immediately exchanged my USA currency into UK ££££'s. Afterwards, I walked through a hallway corridor noticing three women standing at a make-shift, train advertisement, table kiosk . . . I asked one of the women what transportation is the best, safest way arriving at Paddington Station and of course, the woman standing smartly dressed in a dark blue uniform replied, "Heathrow Express is THE best!" Alright . . . How much is the ticket? Inquiring question: "How long will you be staying in London and will you be returning to Heathrow?" My answers were: "Yes-possibly a month and yes." The woman gleefully replied, "Well, then~It will be quite beneficial purchasing a R/T ticket for £37.00 rather than, £20.00 one way." "Great~I'll buy the R/T ticket returning to Heathrow." Noticing, the escalators and elevators, i.e., "LIFTS" are accessibly available at all the Heathrow Express Train Stations arriving to the train platform was a breeze . . . Videos playing while riding the Heathrow Express are essentially a great asset helping Globetrotters like myself, obtaining immediate, correctional, directional bearings on straight, i.e., BONUS. Now, I know myself too well: Egregiously, how well I bumble about getting lost, wrapping my head getting around a foreign city I've never visited before, not knowing which way arriving at my desired destination, and more importantly, how much I must I pay for commuting . . . THANK ABBA FATHER the signage I've read thus far is not in Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Malaysian or other types of foreign scripting! English: I read, speak, and write English fluently-YAY . . . Eye-roll~As far as actor, John Cleese, who remains as my stuff-shirt, English grammar corrector/critic is concerned: "I thoroughly a-pree-see-ate the English language and the dis-tinct pro-nun-see-a-shun, in-DEEED!" Ooooooh~DOH! I was able reading all signages and passing my inquiries to locals who were considerably-THE utmost, congenially kind and well-versed knowing all the directions necessary arriving at Elephant and Castle. My plethora of gratitude I must extend to those who helped "Wrong Way Peachfuzz!," i.e., references-https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2rdzrl Cheers to all who helped me!

It's quite an old station, one of the few classics remaining of the original Central London Railway by Harry Bell Measures. Despite having lifts to street level, this is not a step-free station. There is good signage including a "next train" display hanging from the ceiling. The platform curves slightly, so there is a small gap between the train and the platform edge on cars at the end of the train. Mind the gap. At street level, there is a staffed ticket booth as well as automated vending machines. The usual Oyster readers and ticket barricades too. Note: Bayswater station is only 100 yards away. If you're looking for Central/District line, it's much easier to just walk there at street level than taking a train and changing at Notting Hill Gate.

It is unacceptable to pass through the barriers, pay with an Oyster card, and only then be told that trains are not running. The staff saw us paying, but then called us while we were going down the stairs, and we had to argue to get a refund. The information service is extremely poor and often delayed. Considering how expensive the Tube is, travel should be reliable, but it is becoming more and more frustrating. I had an important appointment scheduled months in advance, and because of this disruption, I had to quickly change my plans and take a bus, still arriving late. While traveling by bus across London, there were ongoing roadworks with construction vehicles parked, causing terrible traffic. On top of that, inconsiderate drivers ignored traffic lights and blocked buses. The worst part is that there was not a single police vehicle in sight to manage the area--this chaos can only be described as a jungle. This is an unacceptable service for anyone with commitments who pays a high price to travel in London. Peter

Watford, Baker Street, Euston Square, Kings Cross St Pancras, Aldgate, Watford, Uxbridge and Liverpool Street are a few of the common stations along the line. There isn't a great deal of step-free stations amongst this line but it serves a great purpose of accessible travel from the Euston Road railway stations to Wembley for those going to a game, as well as other stations along the way. 3* - Does the job but needs work for access for all and the London Overground Watford DC Line would be a great improvement if it does get funded.

Firstly, it took the firm 3 months to send me an invoice and I repeatedly phoned the firm to send over an invoice for the deposit. They promised us the vehicle would arrive 15mins early from the scheduled timed at the pick-up location and unfortunately it was an hour late due to a punctured tyre. However, when the car arrived at the house it wasn't cleaned externally and the ribbon wasn't placed from the car when it arrived to pick up the bride and the driver made the excuse "The ribbon had fallen under the car whilst the tyre was being replaced" which is a rather odd excuse to make. We were promised the car would arrive 15mins before the scheduled pick up time and the car would arrive with a ribbon. Unfortunately, neither of these 2 things happened and the entire party was delayed by 1 hour. When the vehicle arrived at the venue all four tyres looked to be in good condition and it didn't look like the punctured tyre had been replaced. Considering the tyres of this vehicle are huge and it seemed the driver was unpunctual for his shift. From an automotive engineering background who runs an automotive mechanics garage those tyres on the vehicle didn't look to be replaced because all four tyres were in mint condition and not a single tyre looked dirty considering most spare tyres are. I relied heavily on the driver for being punctual but unfortunately the driver delayed us for obvious reasons by leaving late and picking up the bride over an hour late and delaying the guests waiting time. Very disappointing experience!
