I was married to my ex husband for a year and a month when I told him to leave. I then retained Moira Tierney as my attorney. She said that the case should be easy and that he would get nothing because he came into the marriage with only a suitcase, and a year and a month later he left with a new car, a new wardrobe, and two vacations. Turns out that the divorce was not easy, at least for me. We remained married legally (although we didn't live together) for THREE YEARS!! During that time, he did NOT pay one penny toward the mortgage of my home while I was working 2 jobs to manage. This would have been fine if we were divorced already and his name was taken off of the deed. HOWEVER, he remained on the deed and we remained married while he demanded that I pay him $30,000 and I waited for Moira to be the amazing attorney that I expected and that I paid for.
