I arrive, they couldn't find my appointment asked if I made it today and I told them no it was made weeks ago. Then I'm told that her insurance information was never inputted after I provided it the day I made the appointment. I pull my daughter out of school early I leave my job early to be turned away and told the Dr doesn't take her insurance. Why wasn't this told the day I made the appointment!?! They even called to confirm me the day before and I was sent packing. I wasted hours of my job, my time and my gas as I came from Riverhead ontop of pulling my daughter out of school. No one would see my daughter and I was told unless I wanted to pay for the appointment - NO you should have paid for the appointment for your mess up. I will NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE !!!!!!!! HORRIBLE YOU CAN DO THIS TO A FIVE YEAR OLD !!!!! I won't be back. Stay far away !!

I found a gastro with Mather, and I will never use this place again. They also REFUSE to implement a patient portal, citing its a HIPAA violation. It's NOT a HIPAA violation, because these sites are encryption protected, and a lot of medical practices use them. The portals are specifically created for the medical field. Even hospitals have patient portals.

I was waiting in line behind others trying to check in to my procedure on my phone, when I heard "MAAM" loudly and aggressively, one of the ladies at the front desk shouted pretty angrily at me to get my attention, and then demanded equally as nastily that I sign in. I don't know what would possess a person to be so weirdly rude to a total stranger just waiting in line behind others while filling out check-in as instructed. I assume they're underpaid and overworked, but that's a huge no thank you for me.

About a year or two ago you could NEVER make an appointment and it would drive me NUTS. Hours on hold, no call backs, it actually forced me to see someone else. But - I can say they have made SIGNIFICANT improvements. I am able to get an appointment within 5 minutes or so every single time I call, and there are no more 2 hour waits in the exam room. Concerns are not fully addressed and there is little effort to make patients feel comfortable or reassured during visits that are already stressful and vulnerable. Every single time I've been here, I've waited well over an hour, even when I arrived early and checked in on time. This is not a one-off situation. It is every visit. If you have work or anything else to do that day, expect your plans to be completely disrupted for the day. Communication from the office is extremely poor. I have called multiple times trying to get results from a procedure that happened weeks ago, with little to no follow-up. Calls are not returned, messages go unanswered, and patients are left waiting and worrying about important medical information. Having to chase down your own results is stressful and should not happen in a medical office. the Suffolk OBGYN Patchogue office feels disorganized and unprofessional and basic patient care seems to be an afterthought. Between the long wait times, poor bedside manner, and lack of communication, this office creates unnecessary stress and anxiety. There are much better OB GYN offices out there that actually respect their patients. I would give zero stars if I could. I would strongly suggest going elsewhere.
