This park is special because it recognizes the US veterans. From most poles you walk into, you'll see banners of some veterans. It's really nice because it shows that did so much to serve us. It's not really a big park compared to the ones I usually go to, but it's still a good place to host outdoor parties. It even has a water park. So it's basically like my home park I usually go to except smaller especially how the parking is set up next to the water park. Honestly, it would have been a bonus if the park is bigger, but this is good enough. I really wanted to walk around the park but it's too hot. I just go in the shade because I can't really take the heat. I highly recommend bringing water if you plan to go around the park.

We had to keep our dog in another area where they didn't have anyone. Still trying to get him used to being around other big dogs (he's a rescue we've had for a while) but he is used to being around little dogs and doesn't like when dogs mount him so we try to keep him away from other big dogs although I know he wants to run free with them :/ We've taken him to other parks and he played fine with other dogs then someone will bring in a dog that messes with him and when he snaps back it's automatically his fault (since he's a pittbull) eyeroll! So we try to avoid these types of situations but our dogs had a good time at this one.

On our way there we passed by several homeless people and potheads which I thought wasn't a safe environment for children to play around. We also saw several piles of glass on the bridge next to the park. The actual park was dirty and had leaves and insects everywhere. There were two playgrounds across from each other with a few benches. They were quite small and lame and the padding underneath the wood chips was sticking up. There is also a giant facility next to the park with large trucks carrying metal beams.

I've never ran into shady characters here. Those I have met have been nice and welcoming. There's two playgrounds here. One has a gate/fence surrounding it. I don't necessarily trust that one because people like to let loose their dogs into it and never pick up the poo. There's a nice little loop that people can ride their bikes/scooters/etc around or even run/jug around. I tend to go on that when I go run. There's a basketball half court that always good to use. There's not a lot of seat it here. One table. Two benches. Plenty of parking around this area. If you live in it, obviously you got your garage, but you can park on the street. THERE SHOULD BE A WATER FOUNTAIN. Like what's the deal with that? It gets hot out. Overall, this park has been useful to me and to the neighborhood. It's mostly clean. It's visitors are nice and friendly. 3.5 stars out of 5 stars (rounded up to 4 stars)

Quick because I thought that we could walk through to the other marina over on 1st St. No, the little trail just ended in a briar patch. My husband said,"Oh great! Now we're going to have to trudge through a briar patch." So we just turned around and walked back. It literally took us 3 minutes to enjoy the park. Its small but lush and green right now and the willow trees were really beautiful. The down side was the crank heads walking around and fixing their cars or lounging in the grass. I think I even saw a stolen bike transaction go down. Kind of scary. I wouldn't venture over here in the dark. Again I tried finding out who Barbara Price was but I couldn't find anything online about her or a relation to the Antioch area. Its very pretty here and worth checking out in the light of day.
