It's basically a giant dirt-filled playground free-for-all where kids can just be kids, and I'm so here for it! We first came during Halloween last year, and it's easily one of the best pumpkin patch experiences in San Diego. I LOVE that you can buy admission with everything included instead of constantly buying individual activity tickets. It makes the day so much easier with kids, and for everything they offer, I think it's a great value. Just know: it's a FARM. Dirt road, dirt parking lot, dirt everywhere. Expect your kids to leave filthy and happy. The entrance can also be easy to pass the first time since there isn't much warning before the turn. They do have handicap parking right up front, which is a huge plus. There is SO much to do: endless slides and bikes, petting areas with the sweetest animals, goat feeding, chickens, tortoises, horses, cows and llamas, a hay maze, shaded jumping blob, tricycle course with tunnels, toddler area, corn pit, inflatables, water slides, sunflower fields and hayrides. And if your kid loves construction equipment, this place is HEAVEN. There are endless dump trucks, excavators and bulldozer toys, plus real equipment the kids can actually climb on. Even when it's busy, there's so much to do that it never feels like kids are fighting over one toy. They also have a little snack bar where you can buy food, drinks and refreshments, but I love that they allow you to bring your own food and drinks too. There are tons of shaded patio areas with tables, so you can pack a picnic, sit down and take a break before the kids run off for round two. Everyone working and volunteering here has always been incredibly friendly. One of the owners even drove our hayride and told us about all the animals, which made it feel even more special. We now look forward to their monthly themed events and make them one of the highlights of our month. We're already excited for Halloween and Christmas! Such a wholesome, family-owned place where kids can climb, explore, get dirty and HAVE FUN. If you have a construction obsessed kid around ages 2-8, you absolutely need to bring them here. We could stay all day and still find more to do!

They brought six bunnies and rotated the children so everyone could get a turn petting them. The birthday girl got to stay in the bunny pin the whole time. The bunnies were well taken care of and were so soft and sweet! My kiddo loved spending time with the bunnies and she loved that she got to swaddle two of them. They started laying in December. They all grew up beautiful and I love having fresh eggs everyday. This year, one of my girls was brooding so I decided to get some fertilized eggs for her to sit on. While Healing from the Ground Up is a CSA, it's the farm stand in Alpine where the real action is…read more About a month ago, I was looking for a reliable source for fresh organic produce not too far from home, and I found all that and more at the Healing from the Ground Up farm stand. Every Friday and Saturday, Taj opens his farm stand to the public, and it's here that you will find freshest, most delicious organic produce you've ever purchased in your life. My wife and I stop by every Saturday morning to see what Taj has, and we're always amazed at the selection, which changes from week to week depending on what's ready for harvest. Yesterday, for example, we bought broccoli, carrots, celery, lettuce, spring onions, and edible (!!) flowers. Then, Taj told us to wait a minute. He went out to his gardens and harvested some sugar snap peas for us right then and there. Oh. My. God. The sweetest, most delicious snap peas I've ever eaten. We of course bought some of those too. And that's the real beauty of going to the farm stand yourself instead of just doing a CSA box. You get to interact with Taj. He'll tell you what he loves best at the moment, and introduce you to some things you might not have otherwise tried (hello, black radish!). You'll also find fresh eggs (we have our own chickens so I don't need to buy those), lemons, and a variety of other produce. Whatever's fresh. Whatever's delicious. And if you need more of something, Taj is more than happy to go out in the garden and pick it for you. Extra bonus: the prices are very reasonable. The farm stand is currently open only on Friday from 2:30 to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Check the website for updates or give Taj a call.

Well nothing has changed, everything is still dry dry dry.... sides definitely aren't fresh/homemade, they're can/packaged/frozen. Lakeside is in need for good down home fresh homemade BBQ. Unfortunately this isn't it. Hopefully they take this review as an opportunity to make some adjustments and make it better.
