Celebrating the past is a positive way to remember it and in many ways the Featherbone manages this well. It's a nice place with interesting and very articulate reproductions - many in cast iron. I purchased beautiful but expensive interior shutters for them to install. And they did in a…read moretimely manner but had to come back to fill some screw holes, caulk some cracks around other screws that were not properly pre-drilled. This was faux wood. What I didn't know was that just a little rain would cause the bottom (unsealed) to soak it up and bubble - I had left the windows open one night and some rain water got on them. There is no caution regarding water in the literature or warranty. So because these were "interior" shutters it was my fault they bubbled up. Flair refused to fix or replace them.
