I called the office number, asked if Dr. Gassert was still there since she was still on the website. I was told that she was not but Dr. Adam was. I asked if Dr. Adam had a link to his credentials since he wasn't on the website and was told his first name was Adam. I asked his last name and the extraordinarily rude person (whoever and wherever she was) said what is YOUR name? I said that I was a long term client of Advanced Care and I wanted only to know about the new doctor there. She asked if she could put me on hold ... I heard music ... she came back on the line and called me by my last name. She obviously linked my phone number and name on her computer. And, she said my last name with a smart aleck smirky tone. I will NEVER go back there and don't recommend that you do. Good luck Dr. Adam whoever.

(We miss Heidi) I came in today for batteries and misc pieces for my son's aids and to get mine checked out as they'd been going in and out intermittently. The worst kind of problem. I was told that the receiver in one of them is shot and the transmitters are too. $550!!! Yikes!! The good news? I've had these aids for 3 years and 20 days. Our insurance will pay for new ones every 3 years. One of the best things about the aids is that they generate white noise that neutralizes my tinnitus (ringing, loud noises in my ears ALL. THE. TIME. These aids are awesome. Also, the new ones will be able to pair w/ my iPhone and iPad to be able to hear mo bettah and watch movies and other offerings on my iElectronics. Woot! That way I can hear at a level of convenience for me w/o cranking up the volume and blowing away everyone around me. So dear readers, these are the best reasons for actually wearing them. And getting new ones is $50 cheaper than fixing my old ones!! Way cool!! And my old ones will be refurbished and donated. Extra way cool! If I could give these folks 10 stars I would. They make it easy for us to want to come in and they're very generous with the assistance they give us. If you "hear" me, you might want to check em out.

The location is conveniently just a few minutes from my house. The waiting room is spacious and has entertainment for the kids, the staff is courteous and helpful. The first time I came looking for some guidance with suspected food allergies. I'd gone through the same song & dance with my first a few years back when we lived in Maryland so I wasn't really looking forward to having to put my second through the same testing. However, Dr. Majeski was very good with my daughter (who, at the time was about 18months) and the process was very easy. She has young kids of her own so she is very well equipped to dealing with children. I came with lots and lots of questions which the Dr. was very kind and patient to answer. Turns out both my girls have shellfish allergies (ugh) so we have to keep Epi pens on hand (double ugh). The first time, since she was so young, they only did the skin test; this time I was given an order to go to the hospital to get bloodwork done so that we can test for the severity of the food allergies. Even though she's almost two now she is still younger and smaller than the average doctors office would be able to draw blood which is why we got the order for the hospital. After a lifetime of dealing with my own severe allergies I know what it's like and want to do what I can early on to try and help my kids not have to deal with the struggles I had. I've been to many many allergists throughout the country. So far, I really like Dr. Majeski and will continue to see her.
