You can sometimes park right outside, but most of the time, it's up around the corner on the estate close by. One other problem is the fact that as this post office is located close to an Industrial Estate, it appears to be well used by several companies, and one lady appears to be a fairly frequent visitor in the 4.30 to 5pm time slot with sometimes a huge amount of overseas mail! If you time it so that you get stuck behind her, be prepared for a little wait.

I went in on a Saturday morning a few weeks ago, and the queue was longer than I had ever seen them in there. This shop also sells lottery tickets, broadband and you can have a savings account here, however I would not go in here unless I had to as the queues are just so long. A local Post Office is invaluable but this one is just to busy for my liking due to the closure of the others in the area.

The 'pasties from Portreath' have an excellent reputation amongst locals and those in the know. So if you're passing through or nearby, it's worth a detour. One's enough to fill you up for lunch or dinner and a real taste of Cornwall.

When I was a child I would regularly visit Hendra Park, and occasionally still do. On one side of…read morethe road there is the childrens part which has climbing frames and slides, while on the other side there is a football pitch and small skate park. Both parts are maintained by the County Council and there are also toilets on the childrens side. However these toilets are not great. There are fences stopping children from running onto the road on the children's side. In the day there are usually quite a few children and parents in Hendra park but it is rarely very busy. In the summer the County Council sometimes put on entertainment such as 'Punch and Judy' shows so keep your eyes peeled for these.
