I had a good experience here the stop was very helpful I knew exactly what I came for but the tone in which they answered me and walked me over to the aisle was very nice. The cashier also was very engaging while she was cashing me out I don't know if I happen to come on a special week but there was a lot of sales going on. I went there and had to look around so long for staff! I had one simple question and unfortunately was stuck getting Anahita, she was rude abrupt and came across really sneaky. Maybe they are an OK store outside of pandemic conditions, but presently it is a more aggravating experience than trying to shop at Costco during peak hours used to be ( Costco has become easier to navigate during pandemic condition since they actively limit the amount of shoppers at one time now). The location is not layed out for pandemic social distancing. The aisles are very narrow and are still 2 way travelled. The door has a posted limit of 10 shoppers max at a time, but no one was counting or monitoring the door. There were definitely more the 15 shoppes at one point The staff had no interest in enforcing masks. While trying to cash out we were to to move to a 2nd cash where there was a man without a mask rummaging through the items within a meter of where the cashier asked us to go. will not be returning. read more

I passed this place every weekend for close to a year and never knew what it was. I've seen Healthy Planet stores in Brampton and Mississauga before and I never knew what they were. I figured they were a health food store like GNC and such and I'm not a big fan of those since they're mainly focused on supplements and personally, I'm not a big fan of those. However, while this place has supplements, they also have plenty of vegan non-GMO frozen foods (for around the same price as Whole Foods) plus some interesting items you can't find at other health stores. As an example, they have lots of weird packaged health foods like goji berries, tiger nuts, etc. Sure they are expensive, but it's definitely a change of pace. Just be sure to read the ingredients, but most of them are superfoods. Another example is that they have your "common" carbohydrates (pasta and rice) but instead of being made out of wheat, they could be made of quinoa, kamut, spelt, black beans, etc. Whole Foods has the same thing, but they are cheaper here. So in terms of selection, it's pretty decent. You can get frozen and dried foods here, but not fresh produce. In terms of service, the people are friendly but not too knowledgeable. I was asking about vegan foods that could substitute for eggs for cooking (not baking) and no one knew. So after my own experimenting, I found soft tofu with some coconut sauce can imitate the eggy texture and taste. Verdict: not a bad place to go if you want to avoid Whole Foods and don't need fresh produce. Better than GNC IMO. read more

Have you ever had a really bad experience with a store "manager" who was rude, incompetent, and a total a-wipe?? That's why I'm posting this review. The lady on duty as a "manager" on Sunday January 23rd, 2022 at Hyde Park location in Oakville, Ont. at close about 5:45 pm is the worst most idiotic manager I have ever encountered in my over 20 years of shopping in Oakville and Mississauga. I don't have enough space to write everything here, but I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on after being a regular customer for some time. This manager has zero customer service understanding, is completely incompetent, and has no appreciation for the stores customers whatsoever. The manager was a complete moron. Disgusting experience, this manager should be removed. If the store owner hires an a-wipe like this who doesn't care about the store's customers or their business, I don't want to shop here anymore. Do yourself a favour, and take your business elsewhere. read more

I am glad that Healthy Planet opened up more west of Mississauga/Oakville! Other than Wholefoods, Goodness Me and other smaller nutritional stores in malls, I always felt there was not a good option for health and nutrition store options in the area. In my opinion, in terms of the health foods, the staff is knowledgeable. I do not want to say they are at the naturopathic doctor level of course but general knowledge and recommendations, they can handle. The first occasion of why I made my first visit to the store was to look for Manuka honey and they had more than enough variety and types you could spend more than 30mins deciding. I asked one of the staff and she was able to recommend me based on experience and just the general usage of the product. She definitely made my visit worthwhile. I would recommend looking at their flyer and seeing what on special since they always have a bunch of stuff. Also, they have speakers and various health practitioners that come in to the store every few weeks apparently. So be sure to ask about it. I personally have not been to a session but would like to in the future. What can I day.. Knowledge is power right... More health knowledge would not hurt. read more

This location, in particular, is consistently clean, well-stocked, and staffed with extremely personable and knowledgeable staff.
