I was upset and I told the lady at the front desk turns out she was the one who first assisted me. She apologized but didn't offer to lower the price or anything. My husband still tipped. Not sure if I'm returning. That was not fair or professional.

However, I just couldn't find the right place. When I contacted All Island Massage a woman named Laureen got back to me quickly to set up a time and arrange what services I would be having done. She was very professional and I thought her prices were reasonable! I went on a Thursday after 3. Laureen met me when I first came in and brought me right to the massage room. I received the one hour body massage and European facial plus a wax. She did a very good job and was so nice. I felt very comfortable at the establishment. The massage location is a chiropractic office so when you drive there this is what you should look for. I will definitely be going back!

This place offers reflexology massages, so it's expected to hurt. Also, the general rule for tipping at Asian massage establishments is 50%, as you're paying for a massage at a deep discounted rate... it's just courtesy, as these masseuses are working for tips. Nonetheless, it is a soothing and low-key place, and the staff is always pleasant and sweet. Owen is probably the best masseuse on staff, but Ava and Grace are also good. For customers who haven't been here before: please consider tipping generously. These people put time and actual physical effort into giving you a great massage. I always tip at least 25% (so for a $50 massage, $12-$14 is my bare minimum) and I give actually way more than that ($20) gladly. I use the word room in quotations because it was created with curtain dividers. In addition, there was a long mirror against the wall, almost like one you would see in a dance studio. This also, made me a little uneasy. Now, because the rooms are separated only by curtains, you can hear discussions at the front desk and in other massage rooms which can be a little disruptive. Aside from this, the massage itself was fantastic! My massage therapist used Swedish massage techniques and included hot stones and a hot pack. The massage was so good, I purchased a package of 10 massages. I do recommend this place if you can turn a blind eye to the other stuff...

I asked what transaction they were talking about, and how it added to $8; the person on the phone was unable to answer. She just said "Our boss told us to say that." I stated that I was reading the entire Amazon Local ad; there was NO MENTION of such a fee. The person on the phone insisted that I would have to pay it. I canceled the massage and made a formal complaint to Amazon Local, where a customer service agent agreed that she had never heard of such a thing and that they would be launching an investigation. I guess they've made a few extra bucks this way from people who don't know any better, but one has to wonder; is it worth the negative review or the investigation?
