First of all, I went to school at the academy & after being out for 4 years im still so blown away…read moreand grateful. I learned so much about the human body, my inner self & spirituality, and honestly how to be more open & receptive to others. The mentors/teachers are AMAZING and genuinely seem to out energy into each person in the class. This school setz you up for more success than youll realize at first. You graduate w/ 250 EXTRA hours than most school which is wild to me. Now on to the clinic side of things. I recently got a gift card to massage envy, and I also had a credit for the Academy clinic. I went to Massage Emvy first. The therapist said she'd been doing it for 10 years, and I had never left a massage more disappointed and confused. 3 different techniques used for the whole session? weird. Then I went to the academy. I booked with a STUDENT massage therapist who's highest level of bodywork training was swedish. I got more relief from that massage w/ a newbie than w/ someone who's supposed to be a "seasoned veteran." It really just blew me away and reaffirmed the fact that this school and the therapist that come out of it are freaking AMAZING. Everyone is so beyond talented, and it's really due to the energy the staff and educators put towards new therapists

While the lady was friendly (at first) I did not receive a professional massage. It was more of a light brushing of the skin with no oil. Ten minutes in I was instructed to turn over and the same continued. She was bored and I had buyers remorse. I put both of us out of our misery by ending the hour massage in 35 minutes. As I was leaving I was asked why my tip was so cheap. The first thing she said that i clearly understood. I smiled and said "based upon service rendered it was overly generous". I will not return. Oh and the table was hard as a rock and the place smelled of cooking!

They make you pay up front which is probably smart on their end because I would not have tipped as well. Also she was in and out of the room a couple times while i just laid there exposed. would not be bad but they literally taped the doors so they wont close. The room is also not private, there is literally a bed sheet that divides the massage rooms. I cant get over how terrible the actual massage was, and i'm not sure how sanitary and clean everything was. It felt rundown and as if the business was thrown together last minute just trying to make it work.

I had gone to My primary care Dr. for the pain who only gave me muscle relaxers (gross !) and nothing had relived my pain.
