Extremely Unprofessional and RACIST Behavior My elderly mother recently visited this clinic to obtain the necessary medical paperwork for her CDL. Unfortunately, the experience was not only unprofessional but also deeply disturbing and disgusting. She was provided with incorrect paperwork, which her employer later rejected. When she returned to clarify the issue, instead of assisting her respectfully, Dr. Christopher Cannizzaro became argumentative and hostile. During the exchange, Dr. Cannizzaro looked at my mother, a Black woman, and said, "I don't like dealing with you people." He then followed up with "Get the f** out, I don't want to deal with you people,". While using vulgar language and an aggressive tone he kicked her out. There is no excuse for this kind of unprofessional and RACIST conduct in a healthcare setting. I strongly urge others to reconsider before using this provider, and I hope this review prompts a deeper look into how patients are treated at this practice. They suck. Unorganized, unprofessional. Been treated for the same thing there countless times. After calling for 2 days I finally decided to go in. Java the hutt behind the desk had an attitude with me as soon as I walked in. The only reason I know they didn't treat me, is because without a doubt she thought I was her dasher. Will never go back. They are not trained professionals. Just failed nurses and other medical staff standing on a pedestal. I called the branch for a simple question. The person I spoke with was Anthony, had absolutely no regard for human wellbeing, was agitated for doing his job, very condescending, and absolutely no customer service skills. As if my phone call was an annoyance to his day. read more

I just came online to see what time they open and was shocked to see all the bad reviews. I've been to this health express probably a dozen times over the years and have never had a bad experience. Have had a long wait at times, but never as long as I would have waited at the ER, but the care has always been professional, efficient and thorough. read more

This urgent care was absolutely horrible. I went in on a Sunday with an eye infection and happily waited the hour knowing that there would be a wait. Once I was "seen", my doctor came in for less than 12 seconds total (5 of which she annoyingly answered the 1 question I had) despite having no other patients in the waiting room. This doctor didn't even ask me to take my glasses off to look at my eye - she hardly even made eye contact with me as a patient. She promptly diagnosed it as an inflamed lash line, despite me telling her multiple times that it started as a mass on my eyelid. When she prescribed me an ointment to put on the lash line, she told me "whatever it's all diagnosed the same. That will work. If not, call back in 2 days and I'll prescribe you an oral medication over the phone." Well, it didn't do anything (in fact, it made it much worse). When I called in the morning, the receptionist asked if she could call me back since she had a line waiting to be checked in (totally fine - worked retail, I understand how it works and was understanding). She called me back 5 hours later telling me that they would not prescribe me anything without me coming in. Despite the fact that my eye had now swelled to the point of being unable to see, I had to wait 5 hours to be told they won't help me and I'd have to come back in, pay another copay, wait again, and finally get another medication to pay for because she misdiagnosed it. Thankfully, I ended up getting the last virtual visit of the day with my primary care within 15 minutes who was horrified at the experience I had. It turns out, I had cellulitis on my eye which could have led to something much more serious if I had not been properly diagnosed the second time. It would've taken this doctor an extra minute of her day to properly assess me. Thankfully, I had a caring doctor that eventually did the bare minimum to listen to me and address my problem. My primary care told me not to revisit this place again. It's unsafe to put your health in their hands, unfortunately. read more

This place is awful in terms of urgent care. They never answer when I call but are always on the phone including answering a call mid checking me in after waiting in line for 2 hrs in the freezing cold because they would only check one person in the building at a time and you had to wait in line if you wanted to be seen. The reception staff have poor customer service skills and extremely unfriendly but once you do get seen, the medical staff have always been professional and kind. read more

My health insurance encourages urgent clinics for sick visits and incentivizes by giving a low copay. So, if I want to save $20 I go to health express or minute clinic. X kids =equals big savings. Unfortunately, that means we are subjected to the PA's that work here. To be fair the NP's and ancillary staff here are great. So, the place gets three stars. And I am willing to return if I call to see who is on. The PA's on the otherhand are complete tools. Arrogant, condescending, rude, and painful to deal with. Can't even diagnose a simple ear infection with pus literally draining out of the ear. Mass Eye and Ear was horrified after we had to see them a few days after Guy the PA said it was from allergies. Infection spread to his other ear. Ended up on powerful oral antibiotics prescribed by Mass Eye and Ear. Not good care. Should have learned the lesson, but figured the second time we had to go for an ear Infection we would see the NP and be good. Too bad the Np's weren't on that day. This time we got Barry Canavan PA. Who diagnoses an ear infection as a virus without looking in the ear? As an RN, I looked with my own otoscope and explained to my husband there was pus in the ear canal, and to explain that. PA Canavan apparently resented that he mentioned this, or that he would have to look in the ear to diagnose it, and when he saw it was indeed an infection proceeded to prescribe $80 ear drops. If Mr. Canavan was as smart as he was condescending he would know that Cortisporin isn't as good as ofloxacin or Ciprodex, has more resistance and poorer response rates, and is more expensive. Or maybe he resented his patient advocating for his own care, and decided to enact punishment with a shoddy expensive treatment, in order to avenge the insult to his ego. I hope not for all the patients who come across him for care. Neglectful and crappy care from rude PA's really detract from what could be a good urgent care option. Too bad for the patients. Visualization of the ear, and diagnosis, is basic medical knowledge. Looks like their PA's need refreshers. Lesson learned, we will not be going back. read more

Unfortunately it doesn't allow for leaving negative stars. I went there today to see if they could assist me with something. I live almost 3 hours away from where I'm staying at the moment. I have a prescription for albuterol and I'm almost out and I left the other boxes at home. I went there to see if they could call in a prescription to the local pharmacy so I wouldn't run out or have to drive the six hours (three there, three back) to get the other box. We arrived at 3:30, they close at 4. We were the only people there when we arrived. Immediately the Dr (James Mensching) acted like our presence was an inconvenience. He made it seem like it was an unreasonable request to even ask. He said he could do it but insurance wouldn't cover it and when we said we'd just pay for it his response was "Do you know how much that costs? SEVERAL hundreds of dollars." At that point my partner and I were ready to just appreciate that we wouldn't have to take the six hour ride and just go. I had another question for the dr. The medical assistant came in and said we were all set and we said we had another question for the dr. Instead of coming back into the room so we could speak privately, we were told to just come out to the public area and speak to him, so much for privacy and confidentiality. I began to ask a question about a pain I'm having on my side, and he said "You came here for a prescription because you didn't want to drive, I'm giving it to you. I'm not helping you with anything else." And he walked away. I got upset and headed for the door. My partner shook his head and said "Wow, that was rude as shit." The dr engaged him and asked what his problem was. My partner said he acted rude and shouldn't have spoken to me that way. The dr said "We close in ten minutes, what do you want from me? Go see the ENT!" How about a little compassion? I can't breathe. Thats scary. I can't get substantive sleep cause the constant coughing keeps me up. I'm exhausted. He could've just said "I'm sorry, you'd have to call the original prescribers office and see if they can call it in. We're not able to do that here." Perfectly acceptable response. No harm, no foul. The reason we went there was to see if it was even possible. "No we can't" would've been fine. Or even "I can call in, but insurance likely won't cover it and it pretty expensive so which works better for you, us calling it in or you guys just taking the ride?" Then its our decision. He made me feel embarrassed for even asking. He said we were just being lazy for not wanting to take that ride. When my partner said "You're not the one there with her at 3am when she has an asthma attack" he said, in front of his whole office, other patients included at this point, "I don't think she has asthma! Who diagnosed her?" Its probably not a good practice to discuss patient information at the reception desk in front of other people. Its really unfortunate cause I had such a good experience here the other day. I went to this office a few days ago and actually had a really good experience. The provider was great, she genuinely tried to help, and I felt like she listened. That good experience brought me back there today.Nothing against the facility, but this one person is the reason you just lost two people. read more

I was not pleased w the service my son received at this urgent care location. I didn't find the nurses to have good bedside manner w my two year old who was clearly sick and not wanting to be poked and prodded. They kept talking to me like I had never been to a doctor w my kid before, telling me to "hold him down" while all I wanted to do was calm him down a little so they could get what they needed. The nurses seemed annoyed that my toddler was uncooperative instead of encouraging us and trying to soothe him in an uncomfortable situation. I will not be back to this location. read more

Great urgent care! Came here after I fell ill while visiting family in the area. They were very accepting of my out of state insurance and was no problem. I was seen by PA Cannizzaro and he was great. The girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful over the phone too. read more

I am writing a review for Health express in Abington. Do not go to this urgent care it is the worst. I called to make an appointment I wanted a rapid test they told me it would be $160 when I got to the clinic they said they did not have any rapid test and haven't had any for the last week and they charged me $180. Worst customer service had nothing to do with healthcare they straight out lied to me. It is a racket I am reporting them to my insurance company if there was minus stars I would give them -100. My 3 y/o son and I were visiting relatives. Took my son there based on a referral, as he had felt progressively worse since our arrival. I was hesitant to go but felt compelled to have my son checked out. Greeted by a friendly receptionist who provided walked me through the prerequisites and then brought into the room. They covered all the bases (listened, asked about any allergies, did strep and flu tests, etc.) They were professional and did a thorough job. The only drawback I have is that only one of them actually introduced themselves so I unfortunately am not able to give individual credit where it is due. Not a deal breaker but would have been nice. As a former resident, I was pleasantly surprised the town would put such an efficient medical facility within its community. read more

My family has only used Health Express three times over the years . The one in Weymouth was amazing when my daughter became ill Easter afternoon. The one in Pembroke was great as well for my husband one Sunday morning. Abington was a whole different experience I would never utilize that one again although it is the closest to me. I wrote them a lengthy email over my concerns of the care my husband received and not even a we will look into it, or address the minimal at best care he received from the NP. So drive the extra time it will take you to get to the other two health express locations. read more

I would recommend this place based on clean environment and short wait. However, expect no call back on test results and performing tests without your consent illegal I was in a month ago Requested a call back with results. No call back as of yet. I had to call back 2 times to get my results. I picked up results and was advised tests were not available month later. A simple test is not scanned in your system, what are you getting paid for very unprofessional. Do your job! read more

I wish I could recommend this place. It's clean, the receptionist and technicians are friendly, and there was little to no wait both times I went there. However....the doctors and NP leave something to be desired. The first time I went there, I was misdiagnosed and ended up going to the ER the next day because I actually had pneumonia. The clinic drew blood for testing and never called me back with the results (it's been four months since this incident). The second time I went to the clinic wasn't much better. Testing was performed and no one called me with any results. I ended up calling them days later to find out what was going on, and had to go to my own doctor to get proper care and diagnosis. Needless to say, I'll just go to see my own doctor even if I have a long wait to be seen. It'll save me time and money overall and I'll feel more confident in the diagnosis! read more

I'm not one to share feedback ONLY if my experience has been horrible. I had called about coming in for a personal issue I had because on the website it said "walk ins are welcome." So I drove there and walked in to the front desk and before I could say a word, all I could hear was the receptionist screaming at me that I can't be here and I need to pre registered appointment after i spoke with them 10 minutes before my arrival that I was coming in. Then she continued to scream at me telling me I needed to leave and to pre-registered online. So I resume back to my car and proceeded to go online and pre-registered of which I couldn't find easily. So after a few minutes, I gave up and left to Convenient MD. I understand that as of right note the healthcare system is overwhelmed and exhausted from the pandemic but customer service is one skill asset that should be used kindly as a big part of working in healthcare, having compassion, understanding and professional care is a huge part of the job. In addition, instead of insisting of me leaving they could've provided me instructions on how to pre-register or at least just check me in while I was standing there being embarrassed by their colleagues. read more

I had such a great experience here last week. I knew I had more than a cold but I did not have time to make it to my doctor during normal hours. I went to Health Express after work around 6:00 and was seen so quickly and throughly. I paid a $25 copay (Blue Cross) and was given treatments for bronchitis. Everyone I saw (two nurses and a doctor) were so nice and helpful. It was so much easier than making an appointment, taking time off work, and driving to Braintree to my primary care. Great place, clean and the people are fantastic.. When I visited there was no wait and the staff couldn't have been any more helpful. Had flu-like symptoms that they quickly diagnosed as pneumonia and provide immediate treatment to help with the symptoms - wish i went days earlier. They have xray and lab services on-site which is a huge help. Can't recommend this place enough and will be my family's new go-to place for urgent care. read more
