I loved this spa until I was treated like I did something very wrong for cancelling my appointment…read morebecause I no longer had a babysitter that day. I am a mom of twin babies and things happen. Diane, who I guess is the manager treated me very rudely and acted like I did this on purpose to my massage therapist. She's very rude and unprofessional. I've spent quite a bit of money here, but I won't anymore.

My experience at this salon is this stuff lawsuits are made of. If I could rate in the negative, I…read moremost certainly would. On February 15th, my mom and I came to relax on the anniversary of my sister's death and I walked out of my pedicure with a 2nd to 3rd degree chemical burn on the back of my left leg that is ridiculously large. I was encouraged by a friend and my doctor to file an incident report, so I called the salon to do as much. I was told by the manager that I would receive a phone call from Wendy, owner, which I did. I was told by the owner no only that they supposedly don't take incident reports (which I find hard to believe considering that they have to be licensed and inspected...) but the owner also had the audacity to tell me that I was lying about receiving the burn at her salon. Let's be honest- if I had come into her salon with an undressed chemical burn on my leg wanting a pedicure, there is no way on earth their staff would have worked on my legs/feet because of the liability for the spa! Now, I'm a lot of things, but a liar is not one of them, and as a business owner, she should be ashamed of how she treated myself and my mother who has spent thousands of dollars over the course of several years as a loyal patron prior to this incident. I literally had nothing to gain by trying to file a report except to make sure I had things in order in case the wound got infected. We didn't ask for our money back or anything. It seemed as though Wendy really thought I was making something up so as to get a free pedicure? I can't say for sure what she was thinking, but her demeanor was appalling. Now it's summer time, and after months of healing (I was dressing the wound twice a day for two months- and yes, after I delivered my son my nurses and doctor took a lot of care to make sure my wound wasn't infected and was healing okay) people are starting to ask what happened to my leg, and it's honestly embarrassing. The scar is going to be large and unsightly. You can bet I will also be filing a complaint with the MN Board of Cosmetology. If you are serious about supporting small businesses with hardworking and kind owners, look elsewhere.

We contacted Beyond Physical Therapy with an urgent, non-standard need after my mother-in-law…read moresuffered a stroke overseas and returned to the U.S. Claire reached out after business hours to understand our situation and confirm support. In-home therapy started immediately. At the time, my mother-in-law had almost no use of her left side. Claire completed a thorough assessment and began therapy the same day. By day two, with a gait belt and significant assistance, Claire had her standing. By the end of week two, she was walking roughly 100 feet with a walker and minimal assistance. The progress during those first weeks was meaningful and fast. Sessions were long, focused, and consistent. Claire also accommodated a Saturday visit. This mattered during an early, time-sensitive recovery window. As we asked questions, Claire shared experience and perspective around stroke recovery, therapy intensity, and typical care paths in the U.S. This helped us make informed decisions while re-establishing care. Insurance-covered physical therapy later became available but only three days per week. Claire worked around our schedule so therapy happened daily. We used Claire before insurance care began and continued with her on non-insurance days to maintain momentum. The difference between insurance-covered therapy and Claire's care was clear. Insurance sessions were shorter and slower paced. Claire was engaged, encouraging, and appropriately challenging. She pushed progress safely and provided clear guidance for work outside sessions. Without Claire's care and guidance, my mother-in-law would not have made the progress she did in such a short time. Claire was a steady, trusted source of support for our family during an overwhelming period. I would recommend Beyond Physical Therapy for any physical therapy need without hesitation.
