By day two, with a gait belt and significant assistance, Claire had her standing. By the end of week two, she was walking roughly 100 feet with a walker and minimal assistance. The progress during those first weeks was meaningful and fast. Sessions were long, focused, and consistent. Claire also accommodated a Saturday visit. This mattered during an early, time-sensitive recovery window. As we asked questions, Claire shared experience and perspective around stroke recovery, therapy intensity, and typical care paths in the U.S. This helped us make informed decisions while re-establishing care. Insurance-covered physical therapy later became available but only three days per week. Claire worked around our schedule so therapy happened daily. We used Claire before insurance care began and continued with her on non-insurance days to maintain momentum. The difference between insurance-covered therapy and Claire's care was clear. Insurance sessions were shorter and slower paced. Claire was engaged, encouraging, and appropriately challenging. She pushed progress safely and provided clear guidance for work outside sessions. Without Claire's care and guidance, my mother-in-law would not have made the progress she did in such a short time. Every time I moved through the night it spasmed so bad I was crying and could not get out of bed without my hubby's help. The next morning I hobbled into the Buffalo Chiropractic Clinic, not expecting to get in as an emergency appointment, but to just get some advice to manage a 3 hour plane flight, then assumed I'd schedule an appointment after the trip. Jen at the front desk greeted me with a smile, even though I didn't have an appointment, squeezed me in to visit with Dr. Kuzma. He was able to crack my lower back, which was out in 3 places, then applied the "electric shocker machine" for 10 minutes. They wished me well on my flight with some very helpful advice to apply ice and keep moving through the weekend. Magically, no more back spasms. I was slow moving but no shooting pain any more. The next two weeks I had appointments (available when I wanted to come in) for back cracks and helpful stretching consultation Monday, Wednesday and Friday, each only 10- 15 minutes. Last night was my last injury follow-up appointment to crack my back, review my progress, and get instructional demonstrations for workouts to strengthen my back and prevent further injury. I'm back to 100% mobility and plan to follow up with massages and regular back-cracks to "stay young" instead of walking around like an old lady at 45! Thank you ;-)

To get the most out of massages or facials I suggest arriving early for your appointment so that you can enjoy the amazing steam room. And it's amazing that they have showers, to remove residual massage oil/lotion after your spa experience. They also supply deodorant, blow-dryer, hairspray, and some sanitized brushes and combs. I always bring my makeup case with me so I can 'Put myself back together' after my shower. When visiting the salon they provide you with beverages, and treat you like a super-star during your experience. Will for sure visit again and again!
