Through Covid 19 shutdowns and Natural Grocers, I have lost almost 50 lbs…read more Like the selection at Natural Grocers but sometimes they have problems getting in stock. I don't blame management or staff for this but not being able to get my dairy free sugar free ice cream can be a real buzz kill. Helpful staff, answer all my stupid vitamin related questions, and they know their $&/@.

Natural Grocers, oh what a weird, weird grocery store you are. you have 10 aisles of food, and 37…read moreaisles of supplements. you don't have bags for your customers to take away their purchases, but you do have a haphazard wall of mismatched stray boxes lined up for newbies like me too uncool to bring their own burlap sack to your Portlandia-esque paradise. and when i ask for said bag, i get attitude like i asked to steal food from the unhoused. we walked the entire store and here is what we found: --the produce was very hit or miss. the peppers all looked sad and wilted (keep in mind everything here is a premium price) -- the radishes looked great. --the prepackaged foods, frozen and dairy sections were similar in size and scope to an AJ's, Bristol Farms, or other smallish boutique grocery stores with little selection and faberge egg cavaier prices. --there is a nebulous "Community Room" towards the back with tables and chairs and not much else. --there are so many aisles of supplements they can't afford power to illuminate them all (that is, some of the aisles in this section were dark, shrug emoji). upon check-out, the Prius-driving (i'm guessing) register jockey gave us just the right amount of vegan-ish attitude as he harrumphed and found an Amazon Prime box for our groceries so we can leave the store with a scarlet letter on our chests. the people in front of us spent $210 on their haul btw (yikes!). we left with an assortment of pickles, chips and a few other things we needed for our trip. would we ever go back? not unless it was the only food option in Prescott. otherwise, there is nothing in this store that would make us return. raise this place and put in a Whole Foods, please!!!

Thank you Prescott Meats Co! It is a real treat and a memorable experience when you are with…read morefamily, cooking up some nice juicy steaks on a Saturday night. Gathered around the Forged Charcoal Grill, sipping wine at sunset and enjoying one another's company--there is no better way to show them what they mean to you than a nice dinner. The shop was amazingly clean and offered not only Piedmontese Beef, but organic chicken, duck, and Easter Ham. My girlfriend and I went a little "nutzo koo koo" and picked up steaks, hamburgers, Bacon Fig Kabobs, hand-made sausage, and dried Morel mushrooms. There is even a great selection of seasonings and a dedicated cheese refrigerator to round out the meal. To clear up some confusion from other reviews: this is a legitimate butcher shop, not a restaurant! We watched the butcher bringing out fresh hand-cut steaks, bone-in ribeyes, and even a massive Tomahawk. They also have fresh, never-frozen prepared hamburger patties ready to go. We definitely splurged, and even though we live 2 hours away in Phoenix, the helpful store manager--a friendly Viking with an amazing red beard--gave us an ice pack to keep our provisions perfectly refrigerated for the trek home. Go ahead and brag about these cuts; they deserve every bit!

It's not so simple to find a top quality butcher. This place, however, is at the very top of the…read morefew still in existence, anywhere. We ordered in advance a 17 lb. 7 bone prime rib for a holiday meal for 14 people. It was more than sufficient, and we sent leftovers home with folks afterward. The meat was from a special 'Piedmontese' Italian cow grass fed on a Nebraska ranch. We picked up the order right as designated, and the staff was professional and delightful. The cut of meat was absolutely beautiful and slow cooked so easily. There was a bit of unexpected fat, but nothing too out of line with quality, and it was delicious. Everyone loved it As would be expected, it was outrageously expensive but worth the quality. The value was definitely in it. Several relatives in the area didn't know this place and determined to buy meat from here now, as the supermarket quality is nowhere near what these folks provide.
